SuperJet Vanlines moving accounting services Low balled quote and then chareged 75% more upon pick up holding belongings hostage! Ft Lauderdale, Florida

When Jason from SuperJet Vanlines responded to my resquest for quotes to move across country he seemed very nice and extremly workable.  While I provided him a detailed list of items and the dimensions of my storage facilities where my bleongings were being held, he provided me with a quote of $3000.00 to move from Florida to California.  Since I am currently living in California I had my son meet the movers on moving day.  I understood that my move was based upon cubic feet and that the cost may fluctuate, but after they arrived (2 hours late) the price of the move was growing.  I stayed in contact with Jason every step of the way.  I explained to him how very important that I stay within a budget.  He assured me he would take care of me!  After the movers were all done they quoted me a total of $10,500.00!!!!!!   I was shocked, upset and that is when Jason started threatening me, yelling at me and saying he had recorded all my phone calls.  I told Jason I would not pay for the move and to put everything back into my storage units.  I would not agree to this price.  He then told me he would charge me $3400.00 to return the items back to my unit.   I called their offices in New Jersey and spoke with Michelle.  She agreed that he grossly underestimated my move when my emails clearly stated the size of the storage units along with items.  She agreed to lower the price to $8500.00 (still $1200.00 on the high side) but with possesion of my belongings, they would only agree to this price if I paid them cash via wire transfer.

This company is dishonest!  They intentionally mislead me to get my business by deliberatly underestimating and then held my belongings hostage.

I contacted the local sherrifs office where they informed me that I could file a civil complaint and let the courts handle my money until a ruling has been made.

Absolutely unaccepatble!!!

Beware!  Movers are crooks!
