I believe that if a company makes your life a living hell, it should be reported.  Likewise, if a company makes your life a pleasure, that should be reported, too.  After dealing with a predatory lender, then trying for a YEAR to refi with another broker, which didn't work out, I came across Surepoint Lending out of Indiana, and one of their people, Bobby Nichols.

Although refinancing is never a pleasure, Mr. Nichols made the process as painless as was possible.  I contacted him in early December 2009 and our refi closed on January 13, 2010.  Everything took about 1.5 mos., and the interest rate, rolling the first and second into a first, was less than that of our 1st mortgage and got us out of a second at 13.875%.

I cannot say enough good things about Bobby Nichols and Surepoint Lending (the Indiana branch).  Courtesy of their efforts, we can breathe again and I recommend the company and Mr. Nichols without reservation.

To the ex-employee who filed a rebuttal against my original report, I'm sorry your experience with Surepoint Lending has not been a good one.  However, my experience, both with the company and with Bobby Nichols, was superb.

Getting out of a 13.875% second mortgage and obtaining a rate lower than my previous 1st mortgage will NOT cost me thousands over time, but will save me alot of money.  The fees charged for this refi were not extraordinary and were less than my local bank would have charged.

As indicated in my original report, I recommend Surepoint Lending (Indiana) and Bobby Nichols without reservation.

Guess what? You were raped on your interest rate AND fees.  You should have went to your local bank, not some internet lender.  You may have had a good experience with your loan officer, but its going to cost you 1,000's in the long run.  Good luck
