Thanks for taking the time to consider my letter. My name is Davian Castanet. I reside in Miami, Florida. A few months ago, i decided to join an online website called Opinion Outpost, to earn extra money. At first, everything was fine. But now i believe, based on highly suspicious, eradic, behavior, that this company is involved in shady, even fraudulent practices.I am contacting you specifically because, on their web page the copyright information lists SURVEY SAMPLING INTERNATIONAL as the main over-seeing company. Upon doing some research, they are based out of Connecticut.

There are two issues here. One of the "perks" of doing their surveys is that each survey gives you a supposed entry into a quarterly drawing. You accumulate as many of these as you can to increase your chances of winning. The prize is $10,000. The quarterly drawing was scheduled for 4/9/2017. I had accumulated 124 entries up until the night of April 2nd. But on the third, i was shocked with what i noticed. The drawing had apparently been done 6 days early! My accumulated entries -once 124....were now iust 4! The date of 4/9/17 was now ...7/9/17! And there was an announced winner! I was in complete disbelief. I thought i had 6 more days to do more surveys and earn more entries. But now it looked like the contest was over.

But all this was just the beginning of so much chaos. The 2nd issue: the other offer was that you earn points that you can redeem for points. Every 100 points according to the website was $10. So i had 391 points, over 39 dollars in points. Now,up to now i could log in and out as i wished, but when i hit the REDEEM button to collect my points and my cash, i was asked log in. But now neither my password nor ID worked! I requested a link to help remember my password. And instead i got a link where i almost accidentally lost everything and became a new member! I even got a email saying WELCOME TO OPINION OUTPOST. Eventually i got my log in info. But even that failed too! So i called customer service. "Sarah", the apparent only phone representative, picked up. (more on that later) When presented her with the first issue regarding the early drawing, she denied everything. I told her that as we were talking, i could see the information on my screen But she insisted that everything was fine and that i was mistaken and "her information" was different and she had no idea what was going on. So iffff the drawing hasnt occured and my screen is posting false info on its own, what happened to my 124 entries? Who changed the date? When i presented the 2nd issue regarding my account status, she once again didnt know what happened but admitted that now my account was inactive! How? She wouldnt say why. He said the issue was forwarded to a "tech" and reassured me that by days end my account would be fine.

Two hours later, i still could not log in. I called. And "Sarah" picked up again. After wasting my time for 10 mins, she puts me on hold and comes back saying to try to log in again because my account was now active and it should work. If not, she said to call back. Well, nothing worked and when i call back a few minutes later, guess what? I get a message saying they were closed!! Wow!! Once again, this morning i call. Guess who picks up? Yup. Sarah. I presented my issue again. But now there was yet another huge problem. Upon trying to log in, not only was my account NOT active as promised, but i got a message that said my account was now under review for 72 hours!! It was suspended!! Can you imagine? At this point Sarah began rambling and saying i wouldnt let her talk! The fact is she keep repeating herself and saying there was nothing she could do. She couldnt even explain why my account was frozen! So now shes saying i wont let her talk and .....she hangs up on me!! Yes, i said it! She hangs up on me!! I call back and twice all i got was a voice mail saying to leave a message! ! I swore i thought i had been blocked!

After several attempts, again Sarah answers, (guess there are no more operators). She pretends that either she doesnt know me or i dont know her. I ask to speak to a supervisor. She asks me what about. I refused to tell her. Honestly, after 2 days and 7 calls, can you blame me? And now Sarah REFUSES. She says that in order to pass me to a supervisor, she must know first what it is about! I was beyond upset at this point! For literally 7 minutes i fought with her. She then says that the supervisor is on the other line. So i request a call back. But Sarah refuses unless i tell her what its about. She looks at my account info on her own, and asks me rudely if this is about my frozen account. I refuse to answer that. Im beside myself with frustration at this point. Wouldnt you be at this point? So i ask to be put on hold until the supervisor is available. Literally 35 minutes later i got tired of waiting on hold. I called back 50 minutes later. So as to cool down and give the supervisor more time. Sarah answers and says that the supervisor is STILL on the phone!! Think about that! Over an hour and change. But it gets better.

Two hours later, i call again and Sarah says the supervisor is still on the line!! Enough is enough. So here we are. And all i want is a simple investigation. I need answers. Is this company practicing business correctly? Are they legitimate? What is going on? At the very least i want my earned money and to unsubscribe to this suspicious company. Ive heard so many similar stories from consumers about online fraud and i refuse to become a victim. When i hung up i immediately contacted the Federal Trade Commission. My reference number is 82481233. I also plan to contact the Better Business Bureau. I need your help to get to the bottom of this. I desperately need my earnings. Something feels so wrong here.
