Survey Scout is a company often listed on "work from home" websites. They claim you can make $125 per day or even thousands of dollars per month. There are plenty of testimonials and it seems authentic to get paid by market research companies for your opinion. They speak of a database you will be given access to.
This database that they speak of is just a 5 page list of websites that you can access for free. These "survey sites" give you points for taking surveys. Then when you acquire a ridiculous number of points you are given a few dollars. Many of the survey sites are for foreign residents only or residents of a particular city.
The company charges a $34.95 lifetime membership fee that "can be paid off in your first hour of 'work'." Actually, that's near impossible and I haven't made a cent yet. Also, the company promises two free airline tickets. It turns out the company giving you the tickets is a scam too. They require a $20 deposit check and then once you send it you never get the tickets.
In conlusion, you sign up for this site and your out about $55. You are better off learning to play the sax and begging for money on the streets of your city. Please do not sign up for this site and make the same mistake that I did.

#1 UPDATE Employee
Completely untrue and false statements
AUTHOR: Thomas - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Saturday, February 14, 2004
Clearly this person did not read a word on our website because he has no clue how our program works, and nothing he says is true.
"They claim you can make $125 per day or even thousands of dollars per month."
We do not claim either of these things, although it is possible and some people do.
"This database that they speak of is just a 5 page list of websites that you can access for free."
It would take a person months to find, evaluate and keep track of all of the market research companies that we have in our database. If a person does not feel that is worth the price of our low membership fee, they should not signup.
"Then when you acquire a ridiculous number of points you are given a few dollars."
Not true. TONS of the sites in our database pay cold hard cash. Yes some do give points that can be later converted to cash or free gifts once a certain number of points is reached, but there are just as many that pay cold hard cash.
"Many of the survey sites are for foreign residents only or residents of a particular city."
Yeah, and 100s of others are available to the person that posted this false information. Not every opportunity is available to every person, as stated on our website.
"The company charges a $34.95 lifetime membership fee that "can be paid off in your first hour of 'work'."
Another completely false statement. We do not state or guarantee any such thing.
"Also, the company promises two free airline tickets. It turns out the company giving you the tickets is a scam too. They require a $20 deposit check and then once you send it you never get the tickets."
Another false statement. The ticket voucher supplier has processed 1000s of vouchers for our customers.
In short, this person clearly did not read a word on our website because they have no idea how our program really works.
This person was obviously looking to "Get rich quick" without doing any work, or without putting forth any effort, which will never happen with our (or any other) program.
As a final note, this person asked for a refund and we gladly issued a refund to them. While we have 1000s of satisfied users there are always a small percentage who are not right for our program, which is why we give them refunds.
