I needed a notebook computer desperately since my other computer is not working. After searching through websites, eBay ads and newspaper ads I finally run across an unbelievable Cragislist ad. A $2300+ Sony Vaio for only $525. I contacted the seller about it and she said she would use a shipping company called TNT that allows the buyer to review the product before sending money.
I couldn't find anything fishy about the shipping company, but in the email she lowered the price to $450. Then she told me that the computer was set up for use in the US since she lives in Wolverhampton, UK. I looked up the zip code to this place on Google.com and what do you know! The first thing that comes up is this website. I'm glad i found this before i was robbed.
I replied and told the seller that i know all about her scam and there have been multiple scams pulled like this and gave her the link to all of them. We'll see if she replies.
Think about it. Who would sell something for only 20% of the retail price AND pay for 2 day express shipping from THE UK?! ($388 to be exact) Sounds too good to be true? It most likely is.
