Susan Morrow - Morning Glories Spent my money she was supposed to pay subcontractors Plano Texas

I entered into a contract dated April 21, 2008 with Susan Morrow to remodel a bathroom in my home. To date, I have paid Susan Morrow $20,490.42 for this job.

Susan Morrow hired the subcontractors as we agreed to. She gave a few of them a small deposit to get the work started. She has not paid any of them since. I started to receive past due notices and phone calls from the subcontractors demanding payment. I am being told they either haven't been paid or some of them advise me she has presented NSF checks to them.

I went to Susan's home on July 30th to get to the bottom of the situation. It didn't take long for Susan to admit to me she had spent my money and this wasn't the first time she had done this to a client.

She assured me I would be refunded the balance of what had not been paid to the subcontractors by August 1, 2008. I was to meet her at her home on that date at 3:00pm to pick up the money. Shortly before my arrival, I received a call from a gentleman claiming to be an attorney. He advised me if I wanted my money, I would have to sue her. I wasn't sure if this was in fact an attorney or not, as one would assume an attorney would communicate in written form, therefore I still showed up at Susan's house for our previously scheduled appointment. Needless to say, she did not answer the door.

Susan assured me she was properly licensed to handle this job for me. After researching the TRCC website, I am unable to locate her registration.

I am in serious need of your assistance. By her statement to me on July 30th, I am not her first victim.
