JDM Garage was paid to supply and fit a new timing belt kit on my Subaru Liberty wagon AWD in January 2013. As a result of incorrect installation, and the consequential damage incurred, my car exploded 4 months later. This resulted in the negine having to be taken out, all the valves replaced, $4000 worth of damage and 10 days to repair.
Upon calling them to rectify the problem I was told by Sal that he would not call the Subaru specialist mechanic where the car was. They called him and he refused to take any responsibility and hung up, saying contact the delaer, Cars by the Park. The second hand car dealer from whom I bought the car also hung up on me saying it was not my responsibility but the mechanics, even though I paid him to fix the timing belt.
Additionally, JDM Garage also proved themselves incompetent mechanics a second time. My car was taken to JDM Garage because of a problem when doing hard turns or u-turns in my Subaru Libert wagon AWD while still under the 3 month warranty from the 2d hand car dealer I bought it from, Cars by the Park. The mechanic and owner Sal did not correctly diagnose the problem as the viscous coupling in the transmission, hence did not fix it, and I later had to get it fixed by a subaru specialist.
Do NOT buy a second car nor get any work done from either of these two comapnies, Cars by the Park and Sydney JDM Garage.

JDM Garage incompetence proved in Court

This case went to court and the tribunal member ruled that the timing belt had been installed incorrectly by JDM Garage resulting in significant damage to the engine.
I was awarded damages which had to be paid by the Cars By the Park, the untrustworthy 2nd hand car dealer (never buy from them!).
Therefore it has been proven in court and by expert mechanics who inspected of my vehichle after the engine exploded that in fact Sydney JDM Garage were completely incompetent and made a gross mistake, they cross-threaded the timing belt, resulting in $4500 worth of repairs and tow truck costs and car hire (invoice is available should anyone wish to see).
The language used in your rebuttal merely proves the rudeness and abusiveness of the owner, Sal, and the unwillingness of the mechanic and owner and the company to take responsibility for their gross incompetence and mistakes.
Readers can see for themselves that this is an incompetent and rude mechanic that should be avoided.

In Regards to this injurious complaint by this Subaru owner
The car was booked in by the Dealer , the car was very tired , JDM was asked by the tight fisted Car Dealer to change the oil and check the car out. As a full report was given to the Dealer and god knows what he passed on to his Client.
later this car owner called and abused the Mechanic with the most agrressive and hostile manner. Sal told the Subaru owner that the car was booked in for somthing completly different, which had nothing to do with the timing belt, so it was not the responsibility of JDM.
What really peaves me, is these kind of people have nothing better to do than try and destroy peoples reputations. "Trolls" and look they had to go to a US site to do so ?
First of all they bought a car from a shonky car dealer. Not JDM
Did they have a mechanical inspection before ther bought the car , My guess is NO!
They said the car had Warranty , so where is the problem ? More lies !
In Australia if a car is under 10 years old there is a statutary 3 months warranty that covers eveything.
This whining whinger said it had the 3 months warranty ?? So where does the $4000.00 comes from. More Lies!
Where does 10 days comes from ? If the engine was destroyed you would get a reo engine in 2 to 4 days and be on your way. More LIES!
And most of all JDM was not paid at all to supply a new timing belt
I was there at the time and I canh say that this person is a disgusting Vindictive low life who wants to blame other people for its stupid decisions.
I can say that this particular person at JDM "SAL" that this Subaru Owner is trying to defame, woukd have to be one of the most conscientiousness mechanics and one of the most generous people around,
Get a life you horrid patheic little weasel.,
Next time spend a few dollars and check that your investment is sound. Don't cry after!
A timing bet in that type of car should be changed every 100,000 kms , you obviously bought a late model car with that has passed its use by date or is very tired and had a ton of K's on it .
