We already had a magazine subscription to the Economist, and Synapse/Newsub

sent us something that made it look like our subscription needed to be renewed. My wife fell for the ruse.

After navigating their phone tree, they tried to get me to accept and pay for the issues I already received. I replied NO to that question, and then their system offered a full refund. Hopefully I will actually get the refund :-)
