On November 25th 2005, I purchased a Syntax Groups, Olevia Brand 32 inch LCD flat panel TV from ABC Warehouse. I paid $899 plus 6% tax. A rebate of $300 was advertised in the newspaper by ABC Warehouse. I received a rebate form to fill out and followed the instructions to the letter. I mailed the form in Dec 8th and according to the rebate paper I was to receive my $300 from Syntax Groups no later than 10-12 weeks from the postmark date of my submission. I emailed customer service Jan 27,2006 to inquire about the status of the rebate. I received a return email Feb 2,2006 acknowledging the receipt of my rebate certificate. In an email reply from a Ms Jessica Arnold at Syntax-Brillian she stated that "it takes 10-12 weeks to process, write the check and send it on its way". I waited through February and March. This puts the rebate in their hands for a minimum of 15-16 weeks. On April 2nd,2006 I sent an email to Ms Arnold, Ive yet to receive a response.

After having sent several emails to Syntax Groups aka Syntax-Brillian with no response, I contacted the la Better Business Bureau to look into my case. I also contacted in person the store manager of ABC Warehouse, then contacted ABC Warehouse by email. The BBB sent me an email today with a response from Syntax-Brillian "the check is being printed and you can expect your rebate in 5 to 7 business days. I also received a call from the ABC Warehouse Store manager who indicated he received an email from ABC Warehouse headquarters and that they are doing "everything they can" to get my rebate, and he said he would call me back on April 24th or 25th. Today is April 21st, 2006.
