First thing: I did my research I checked Angie's list, joined just for this move, checked the Better Business Bureau, plus any review web pages for NY metro area prior to inking the deal.

I was emailed an estimate based on 17500 lbs, or 2500 to 3000 cubic feet; I actually used 3600 cubic feet (Pricing based on Cubic feet).   I asked the mover (Vanessa) to send somone on-site several times to comfirm their price for  $7900.00 to worse case $8450.00.  I was assured that I would be "Taken Care of" and that she didn't have to come on-site, she had 20 yrs experience and worked with national carrier for 10 yrs.  I over estimated everything 5+ bedroom house (only had three), a 10x10 storage locker filled with sports cards, and two 10X15 storage lockers, one 2/3 full and the other 3/4 full.  I had two on-site estimates that both came in at 15000 to 16000 lbs with cost fixed at 12K and 11.5K respectively  (Mahon movers and Atlas).  I thought worse case scenario I would be charged 10K based on the companies estimates.  The day before the pick up I told the mover that I would use 2/3 rds to of a 53 foot truck, Vanessa said that would be no problem and the price would not exceed $8500.00, since they had a small shipment 1200 cubic feet to fill the rest of the trailer, which was enabling her to give me a better price.  (I have electronic copies of the estimate and the actual bill)
The day of the move they were suppose to be on-site at 0800 hrs, they didn't show up until 1100 hrs (movers) and the truck didn't show up until almost 1300 hrs.    The company did a very bad job, they were slow, they charged me $2500 for packing material, and I am a veteran and know how to pack (Everything was boxed except the Furniture and TV's). I believe they over used boxes to expedite the process when the dispatcher started getting very mad because of the pace they were moving.  They purposely over used materials to gouge me, and it still didn't stop them from damaging some of our most valuable items.   All but four of the movers actually worked hard, they took 18 hrs to pack my furniture, and load my belonging.  They were verbally abusive to each other and by the end of the night, everything pack in the last two hours was broke when the truck arrived in FL.  I have pictures of the mess, the estimate that was a classic Bate and Switch see the 7/27/2011 in USA today.  The last stop Community Storage on Rt 6 and Rt 209 in Milford pa said low body movers have entered their facility all the time, they tacted on another $2000.00 for transfer fee.  This company gouged me every possible way.  The owners of Community Storage owner will atest to the what I am writing 570-409-6977 (Tom).

This company is the worst experience I ever had, what company would commit to this big of a job without see the job, my mistake was thinking they could save me a couple thousand dollars since they had a load to off set the diesel costs.  Buyers beware this company does not belong in business.

$2000.00 roll-top desk (have pictures)
$3000.00 pair of high end washer and dryer dented
$  500.00 of pictures glass broke out of frames
$5000.00 China Cabnet side glass broke out of the unit.
$  200.00  Dining room chair arms broke off
$2000.00  of contents in boxes broken crushed destroyed

When I called the company, from FL, and told them how much of my items were destroyed the company said did you get more insurance, that they would only give me 60 cents a pound.  I asked about that and I was reassured that I would not need it since they do such a good job and never break things.  The best part was at the end of the night when I became a hostage; I was told that I had an exclusive / dedicated trailer.  Well, when they started moving my items into our house there were three items that didn't belong to me (shelves, parts of a bed, and several boxes).

See above:
1.  Never take this companies estimate serious.
2.  Watch the over use of packing materials (ie using boxes to pack boxes in)?
3.  They try to assure you that they been in business a long time and are always close, they are a typical bate and switch.
4.  If after hearing the way Vanessa treated me, called me everyday before the job, nice as can be, and after they started my job totally became mean, and unprofessional.
5.  I am amazed that companies like this can stay in business, they are slick sales people.
6.  They made me believe they owned their 53 ft truck and it was sub contracted out.
7.  They misrepresented every possible aspect of the job and gouged me when ever they could;  how does a job go from worse case $8500.00 to $16900.00.  I have all the proof.

SYSCO MOVING AND STORAGE

AUTHOR: Charles - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, October 13, 2011

Vanessa I love the way you try to cover your lies, my final upload will be the on-site estimate, and the pictures of the unprofessional word should make it easy to people to see SYSCO MOVING & STORAGE is a rip off artists  People look at the pictures they destroyed over 8K in furniture.  If anyone is dumb enough to use them best of luck, Vanessa even promised Arnold Diaz they would reimburse me the difference if I produced one, don't listen to Vanessa Call Jim Mahon Movers in Branchville NJ, Patrick and Jim will confirm how they low ball you then act like criminals.  Don't ever use a mover who doesn't come on-site.  I asked the con-artist Vanessa three times the week before, and now I know why they made every excuse in the book.  Mark my works it is federal law you can't charge more than 10% of the estimate if done on-site.  That is why SYSCO will start behaving a proper company if everyone out know them for what they are see the on-site estimate for yourself.   LOOK at the pictures, they packed and broke so much stuff that's why it came out to 3600 cubic feet, the company doesn't even have their own trucks except to bring packing materials to rip you off.  Vanessa a picture is worth a thousand words and your company should be out of business or you will change your name again.  People look up their DOT number its registered under a different name.  Just like the home builders, once word gets out they change their name.

Sysco Moving & Storage Bait and switch

AUTHOR: Charles - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, October 03, 2011

Vanessa your right, when rip off artists like your self and the rest of the crew, I will warn as many people as possible about the to stay away from people like you.  Still waiting on the weight slips that you never got, and I will continue to blog until everyone know, that you lied to Arnold Diaz about reimbursing me if I produced even one of my on-site estimates.  My fellow consumers. Sysco and Vanessa will kiss you bottom until they get your stuff on their third party vehicles and then RIP-you off.  I posted one picture I have 50 more to prove the quality of their work.  It's Funny how she wanted to blame the third party truck driver for the broken furniture.  See folks she spins a yawn for everything.  It's everyone's fault by hers.  The bottom line is if you want to see more pictures, or the scanned proof of the Bait and Switch operation shoot me an email cholley1066@hotmail.com.  Remember, NEVER us a moving company the does not do on-site estimates, and never use a trucking company that offer you a price that sounds too good to be true.  Sysco Moving & Storage has pulled the Bait and Switch many times.  I just spoke to a lady named Jenifer that had the same Scam pulled on her.  There are a lot of honesty companies out there but this one is not.  If you don't believe me Let Vanessa and company take you for a ride.  Don't be a fool.

Nobody Takes You Seriously Charles....

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, September 24, 2011

You're still after this??  I mean as a con-artist, you have to have the biggest balls of them all to keep coming and posting your nonsense.  You had all of your stuff in a storage facility and no one is going to give you a binding, not-to-exceed estimate.  But you want to go to BBB?  Here's what's going to happen:

The BBB will take your complaint and the mover will respond.  The BBB will then indicate the company has responded and the customer did not accept the reason as satisfactory.  The consumer will read the report and it will be implied the consumer was a pain in the a*s.  Believe me, I've dealt with the BBB on this type of issue and this is what happens.  At the end of the day, people will read that you're a con-artist who actually had to pay to have his items moved.  I mean poor you to be in such a situation.

BTW, the mover doesn't have to comply with the 110% rule in your situation because there was no real way to determine a proper estimate unless the items were in storage at Sysco.  The only way the real weight estimate could be done is once everything is out of the storage facility and viewed.  Then it's 110% of whatever that total turns out to be.  All of the other so-called promises you cite are only your perceptions, nothing more.  There's no way you would have a whole 53' semi to yourself, nor would Sysco do the move themselves.  Your move was hauled by the vanline because the mover's agent doesn't normally have the capability to do that unless you were willing to pay about double for your move.  Accordingly, 25,000 lbs isn't enough to fill a semi and a mover cannot economically move a load with only 2/3 filled unless you pay a lot more for it.

Consumers should be warned this shipper tried to pull a fast one on the mover (based on the shipper's own story) and the mover didn't go for it.  Consumers can count on being served well by movers represented by Allied, Atlas, United, Mayflower, North American, Graebel, and Bekins.  All these movers have QA/QC departments to make certain things go well, and more importantly, departments that make certain people are taken care of when things don't go well.  No move goes right 100% of the time, but these movers do everything they can to satisfy a customer.

Sysco makes offers to good to be true (Rip off artists)

AUTHOR: Charles - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, September 24, 2011

Vanessa Babble is nothing but lies to justify, the normal business practice they used to rip people off.  All I can say is anyone stupid enough to use them after reviewing what I have told you, you deserve what they get.  They are rip off artist and I just recieved an email from a woman name Jennifer who emialed me the following:  Just for yourself see my reply to Jennifer another victim of Sysco Moving and Storage along with my reply:

I like you Jennifer have filed a case with the BBB, which I suggest you do, and every site you can find.  I even had Arnold diaz interview me.  The best way to get to them is join Angie's list and report them and the BBB, and many other sites.  My number is (973)-534-0375.  I put this company on at least 15 sites in the hope that people moving would see my review.  I am sorry to hear you fell prey to them too.

FYI -- Don't just take my word,  they are worse than criminals.  Vanessa what out for the DOT, remember the word "Sting"

Sysco Moving & Storage Bait and switch

AUTHOR: Charles - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 14, 2011

They can't claim to move 25000 lbs without getting weight tickets before and after.  The 7 lbs per cubic feet claims are false and misleading to potential customers.  Jim Mahon estimated the weight at 1500 and change, since it was an on-site estimate the could not charge me more that 10% more based on Federal law.  Sysco is blowing smoke, look at the BBB report, Vanessa twisted Mike words and he wasn't even the individual who can on-site.  The attached jpeg show that Jim Mahon knew about everything my cards, the two storage bins, which they visited, and Vanessa is a liar.  Jim Mahon estimate at 11.5K ever with a 10% add on I would settle for the difference but Sysco doesn't care about anything but the money they can extort out of people I am still waiting for them to upload the weight slips for my move to the BBB , which they won't .  I asked the driver he was never weighed and promised 7K before coming on site.  All I can say if I was dumb anyone who uses them after reading this exchange is an dumber.  Buyer beware I know why they refused to come on-site when I asked, and I paid the price.  I only post this to save the next unsuspecting customer from falling into Sysco Moving and Storage web of lies.  I am waiting for Vanessa Rebuttal to post Mahons response.  After Mike spoke to me and got the other side of the storage he proclaimed it was companies like Sysco moving & Storage that give the moving business a bad name.  Hey Vanessa read the quote they mention both lockers and the baseball card.  It was patrick that did the estimate not Mike wake up, I am sure customers will see the light

Rebuttle Sysco Moving and Storage

AUTHOR: Charles - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, September 11, 2011

Once again after further investigation a mover can by federal law take the cubic feet and multiple it by 7 lbs, which I found out for quality movers, Including Jim Mahon.  Sysco is publically claimin they moved 25000 lbs, which is illegal, they should publish the truck weight ticket for the empty truck and one after loading.  They twisted the words of Jim Mahons worst, and they are going to send me a rebuttle to once again show how Sysco Moving and Storage is a unprofessional mover.  Any company that make weight claims, when the vehicle was never weighed is once again misleading and illegal.  The 7 per cube is used to estimate.  People keep your eyes on the BBB, remember this DOT company number's name has been changed.  They promised Arnold Daiz if I produced the on-site estimate they would reimburse the difference, but as Bait and switch operations work they find another excuse to not keep their word.  Let's face it, anyone who gives you and estimate for 7900 dollars after going over every line item and the on-site estimates were required by federal not to charge me more than 10% over their on-site estimates THEY DON'T LIE.  Syco would not come out when asked three times, refused so they could rip me off and they did.  Anyone who wants to see more pictiues of Sysco Moving & Storage handly work call me (973)-534-0375.  Make sure when you look at other review that they do great work, I can prove my statements.  Remember their DOT # 20937081 and MC # 737081.  They just expect to wear people down and keep ripping them off.

If you chose to use them, I assure you they will take you for a ride.  If dumb enough to be temped by their low rate because they are taking other load in the same direction, well my price went from 7900 to 16900, an 9K difference and they destroyed 8K of furniture.  Judge for yourself.  Make sure you search their DOT # and MC # plus their physical location.  I think the brand new washer is a good example of their professionalism.  The best part was they didn't use their own truck and promised the driver 7K up front, and if I only needrd $400 of packing, why did they bring $2500 dollars worth.  I have a lot of other things to do, but I just don't want to see another family experience what this company does.  Do a search on a single mother of three who moved to CA and could not come up with the extra 1K of extortsion and to this day I don't know if she got her home contents back.  I am not the only victim, I am just will to make sure the rest of the world knows what they are doing with.  Vanessa last rebuttle to the BBB will have a direct rebuttle entered by Jim Mahon and you see for yourself this company is a Rip-off.  Why risk use a company the ruined even one persons life.  The pathological liar here is Vanessa and they are  Famous at misdirecting truth.

PS: I was promised an exclusive run for the 9K increase against my wishes, but they delivered other peoples furniture to my house they can't even label stuff right.  Good Luck

Publish the third party weight tickes.

I agree with Jim and i was happy with my service

AUTHOR: Ilonka - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, September 10, 2011

I agree with Jim because it is our responsibility to make sure that we disclose everything we are moving in order to get an accurate quote. I actually sent my list of items like three times to make sure I had no surprises upon receipt of my bill. I wish I could write a detailed, specific review to back up the my full experience, but I actually had to work while my husband supervised both packing and moving -- and the move came out great!! They were prompt and courteous; they were on time at pickup and delivery. Absolutely everything arrived in fair condition. Dont hide items from the movers, they will charge you a lot more if you dont disclose the correct amount of items you are moving.

I Don't Normally Take The Side of a Mover

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 23, 2011

but Vanessa is right.  Assuming the move is really 3600 cubes, it translates into a move of about 25,200 lbs.  But I would blame you Vanessa for one thing:

You took his business when he told you that he got written quotes from someone (Allied or Atlas) which means he was using someone else's labor to try and push you into a lower quote.  I mean that points out a couple of things:

1.  You were kind of lazy in not surveying the site.  You should have done it and you know it too.
2.  You were dealing with an unethical customer who has no problem screwing everyone for price.

Charles, what you believe is irrelevant.  You don't count.  Seriously.

You scammed the mover into thinking you had 17,500 lbs. and then in your story indicate it might be 3000 cubes (21,000 lbs), then it turns out to be 25K lbs.  Additionally, you have storage lockers no mover had seen, no one had surveyed, and no one could include in your quote.  Don't sit here and throw fake outrage over the pricing increase.  You knew this move was going to cost this much but you didn't want to tell the mover that.  You threw an alleged quote to entice the mover to do the move cheaper.  I personally would have either not quoted you, or quoted you 5000 cubes.

Let me give you a clue:  No one was going to give you a binding, not-to-exceed quote.  There is no way you should have expected this move to stay at the original estimate.  The fact the original estimate doubled is mitigated by the fact you had items in storage lockers - the contents of which are unknown - and I might add...probably understated in your story.  I've seen that nightmare.  Trust me, you get no sympathy from me.

Don't blame the mover for their inability to see what was in your storage.  I suspect you even researched movers with the specific purpose of screwing them with a posting like this if they didn't do what you wanted them to do.

So let me help out everyone:

Consumers should discount this complaint against this mover.  The shipper is primarily at fault, and much of the story he provides is garbage.  Consumers should get a visual survey of what needs to be moved and a written quote.  Choose reputable movers who base quotes on weight, not cubic feet.  Finally, stay off the internet to find a mover, but use it to research one.  Moving is not an inexpensive venture, and choosing the wrong mover can cost you more in the long run.

CHARLES HOLLEY'S BAIT AND SWITCH

AUTHOR: Vanessa - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, August 22, 2011

Charles Holley is the master of bait and switch. Charles Holley claims he received 2 on-site estimates from Mahon and Atlas with a binding guarenteed not to exceed written estimate for 11.5 to 12k Dollars based on 17klbs. Now he changes the story once again claiming that it was Allied Van Lines not Atlas. Which one is it Charles? He still can not produce any written binding estimate from any company at all. If you look at all the other blogs he wrote each and everyone tells a different story. He claimed to have 17k lbs which equals approximately 2500 cf feet. He admits to have a total of 3600 cf which he really had 3700cf which is approximately 26k lbs big difference there. Atlas or Allied would never have priced out this job at 12k$.  Simple put Sysco Moving and Storage will refund 100% of the money Charles Holley paid for his move if you can PRODUCE ANY WRITTEN BINDING ESTIMATE FROM ANY MOVING COMPANY IN AMERICA FOR LESS THAN $20000.00. Keep blogging Charles because in the end we will see WHOM BAITED AND SWITCHED WHO.
I would like to ask anyone who is in the moving industry to price out 3700 cubic feet from PA to FL that required 8 shuttles because the trailer was unable to fit in to either storage units, 800 foot long carry with a gravel pavement so each and every piece had to be hand walked no dolllies no hand trucks, wrapping and packing of every item from the house and the 2 not 3 storage units we moved. This was a $27000.00 job easy. Remember consumers there is always 2 sides to every story.
I will see you in court Chuck and boy am I looking forward to it.
Vanessa
