i dont know american law, but under Australian law this would be subject to the Fair Trading act with false and misleading information being used to sell the product, this can be proven with the magazine and the "salesman" describing the product as somthing it isnt, and being advertised by these people and this magazine as being worth more than it really is. What they are doing is exploiting a loophole, but they ahve forgotten some of the most basic areas of the legislation, if fair trading got thier acts together they would be onto this, but as with all public servants, they couldnt be bothered with the paperwork - they would sooner hand ball it off to somone else. best of luck guys, but i still think our best option is to get in a nice secluded spot with one of these DOGS (going along with thier somwhat shady story) and then teach them a lesson they wont fast forget, and with no witnesses and the shady nature of thier activities, keep ya mouth shut, stick to your story that he attacked you for your money when you refused to be involved in his illeagal activities, and you defended yourself. if the cops become involved, its your decent citizen word against the shady thief - who do you think they are gonna believe???
