Tali Atia Infestation Van Nuys California

I arrived at the home on Wednesday the 17^th of July. The address of the vacation property is xx Delano Street in Van Nuys California.  I rented it through the online service Trip advisor and it was rented to me via email correspondence by the property’s owner, A Ms. Tali Atia. At the time of the booking, she had hidden her phone number.   I had booked and pre-paid $545.00 to stay through July 21^st.  The home was run down and filthy.  The worst part was that the entire home was infested with roaches, both dead and alive.  It was disgusting!  I had no choice but to sleep there that night as it was too late to move somewhere else and I could not get in touch with Ms. Atia who is the owner.  I could not sleep because I have an insect phobia and I could hear the cockroaches scurrying across the floor by my bed.  I finally was able to communicate with her through email late the next afternoon as she had not given me her phone number.  I now understand why!  Ms. Atia tried to convince me to stay at another of her rentals located just a few blocks away.  I told her that would not work.  I had booked and already checked into the Holiday Inn Express, which is also located in Van Nuys.  

I have repeatedly requested a refund of the $70.00 cleaning deposit plus the $344.00 I was charged for the four nights I did not stay in the vacation rental due to the cockroach infestation.  The total amount I am owed is $414.00.

Tali Atia has refused to refund my money. She does not return phone calls or emails. 

Do not book a vacation rental or any property through this woman.  I now have her phone number which is 818-322-8254.  

She is unprofessional and a Rip-Off artist.  I have traveled all over the Country and been to some poor areas. This home was falsely advertised.  So if anyone is considering renting a vacation home, stay away from this Fraudulent Owner and her decrepit run down, cockroach infested ghetto properties.
