TANNER TRANSMISSION-SLC Bait & Switch Internet

Called in advance to verify if the company would accept an expired coupon for a $16.95 transmission flush. (The coupon had expired 13 days before.) Didn't want to waste my time or theirs. Talked to Matt. He assured me there would be no problem, and even went so far as to give me a total on the expected service of $89 with all fluids, a new filter, etc. Made an appointment for the next morning. When I got there, he told me they had received a letter from corporate headquarters TWO days before, stating they could no longer honor expired coupons and he was sorry but now the job would cost $150. I asked how come he didn't tell me that the day before when we talked, and he said he 'forgot'. What a ripoff. I spent over an hour of my time driving down there, waiting, then beling told they wouldn't honor the price set the day before, even though everything had been discussed in detail. Plain old 'bait & switch'. 'Nuff said.
