After the consultation phone call I paid the $800 retainer. They sent me a financial report to fill out on myself then they began asking me for all kinds of documents. They charge $200/hour so you can imagine how fast that adds up considering they charge $20 just to read a simple form. Then came the relentless phone calls from his legal assistant Frances demanding more paperwork and threatening deadlines and from Janeen demanding payment. They claim to have called the IRS countless times on my behalf charging by the minute.
I finally caught on after paying out $2400 so I called the IRS myself. The agent said that all I needed was to fill out Form 433F, 2 pay stubs and 3 months bank statements. After 2 weeks she was done. I called Attorney Fouts who refused to talk so we correspond by e-mail. I vented and showed my dissatisfaction so they closed my case citing that I still owed them another $280. It was a hard lesson to learn because after paying $2400, nothing came out of it. Be careful.

Unfortunately, we are unable to identify who this person is so its difficult to comment, except in generalities, about the allegations. If this person was ever a client of our’s, they filed a complaint before ever letting us know they were unhappy with our services.
There are several points here that are easily cleared up.
This client says we sent him financial forms and began collecting information from him. That is correct. Our goal is simple. We try to find out ALL the options a client may have to deal with their tax debt. That is what true tax professionals do. In order to know all the options a client has, we must gather all their financial information.
Some clients don’t like having to give us the info, and some dribble it in slowly over time, and some client ultimately never give us all the information we need to evaluate what their options are. It appears this person may have fallen into that category.
We must charge for all our time on a case. Some clients are very cooperative, and their fees are much lower than clients who dribble the data in and fight us every time we make a request from them.
As for threatening deadlines, we don’t have deadlines, but the IRS certainly does. In order to meet IRS deadlines we must have the information we need. We make this very plain to our clients. We can’t help them unless they give us the information we request.
The client states he was able to easily get an Installment Agreement. We presume he was able to fill out the 433F financial document because he had already had to get the information to us. We will never know what other great option he may have qualified for, such as an Offer in Compromise.
As to him saying "be careful". We strongly agree. Please don’t hire an experienced tax defense firm unless you understand the need to cooperate and you really want to know what all your options are to deal with your tax problem. We specialize in serious tax cases.

It appears this person has filed the same complaint several times in an attempt to make it appear that there are more complaints.
