I purchased a gift certificate for Taylor/Brooks from a marketing co. that came into the place of my employment. The slalesman said that it would be valid thru Mar. (I had 5 MNTHS.)and that all I needed was my confermation # W/ my "card." It states on the certificate that the customer must use the spa services in 4 DIF. sessions (4 dif. appointments). I gave him a check and decided to use the certificate as a Christmas present. Dec. came and when I called, the girl (manager? I Don't Know)told me that they didnt schedule appointments in DEC.!

She read me all of the "rules" on the cert. (which I read) YES It states, "Limited availability prior to holidays" nothng said NO APPOINTMENTS DURING DEC.! She also told me that the little card that I had kept W/ the # on it was not the actual cert., it was just for a guest if I had brought one. Therefore, I had no way to redeem my certificate. $$$ down the drain !!! her excuse? "We are a very upscale salon." - I've been to several upscale salons and this is NOT ONE OF THEM!

Dont believe me - Check out the website - they list prices, stylists, and i wasnt that impressed ~ I have learned my lesson! DONT BUY CRAP FROM PPL WHO WALK IN OFF THE STREET! DUH!

Opinion based on years of experience with Taylor Brooks

AUTHOR: Gts - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, June 25, 2009

Our family of four have been going to Taylor Brooks Salon for around 8 yrs now and have never had a bad experience. We have used many different stylists there and always been pleased with their professionalism.

We have also referred about 6 of our friends there and have received 100% positive feedback. That is tough to get with any salon.

As a small business owner, I know it is important to market your services and it is challenging. I know the owners and management of Taylor Brooks to be sincere and good people and they tried to make good on the misleading claims made by this marketing company.

If you haven't been to Taylor Brooks Salon, I suggest you give them a try. We stand behind them completely.

Bad partnership with marketing firm

AUTHOR: Owner - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 23, 2008

I know this is several years after this complaint has been made but did not find out about this site or complaint until now. I would like to personally apologize to this person about their horrible experience with this gift certificate purchased thru this Marketing firm. We agreed to let them send their sales force out to sell these certificates that they printed. I personally trained each one to make sure that they knew our business as Granton brought them in the salon.

Although these people were not at any time our employees or reported to me as the owner. We also agreed to honor those certificates for a certain amount of time and there were stipulations that each sales person was to notify to each of their customers. Long story short IT WAS A NIGHTMARE for us. The sales force would give people false information or even make deals with them that was not authorized to just get the sale.

That was not in any way shape or form a honest representation of the way we do business. We broke our partnership off with Granton Marketing as soon as we started getting this feedback and they promised to refund all certificates that had not been redeemed to that point. We referred all customers to them through a customer service number that was given to us to make sure they were given the opportunity to get their money back.

I have no control over Granton marketing but I think your comment to not buy anything without checking it out first is warrented. I do hope you will read this and know we made a bad partnership with Granton marketing.
