I was terminated, on Monday, 4/29/02, after 15 months employment as a telemarketer, from TCIM Services in Norman, Oklahoma. I am 49 years old and received my one year employment raise, of 50 cents an hour, in February of 2002.

I was terminated after already filing 3 EEOC complaints against TCIM, over the course of almost a year. My first 2 complaints on TCIM resulted in me obtaining from EEOC 2 letters granting a 90 day right to sue in Federal Court, but I did not pursue the matter, instead hoping things would improve. The initial complaint was for sexual harassment.

I filed my third EEOC complaint, filed in March 2002, against TCIM for retaliation (thus I was fired after this complaint was filed and TCIM had been notified of the complaint) and I am in the process of filing another complaint for retaliatory termination after discussing latest developments by phone with EEOC.

I also documented a musculoskeletal disorder complaint (the ring and little fingers on my left hand became permanently numb) most probably due to holding the handset, because TCIM was too cheap to buy mouthpieces for the headsets so we could all use the headsets. Numerous other TCIM employees have complained of the same ailment.

TCIM refused every request (documented in correspondence to EEOC) I made under the Freedom of Information Act, to provide me with copies of spurious TCIM write ups (saying it was against company policy) and fired me for tape recording (TCIM tape recorded our sales and sales pitches and should have been well aware of tape recording laws and my legal right to tape record TCIM) TCIM reprimands and harassment and answering my fellow employees' questions about my problems with the company and my EEOC complaints. By telling me I could not tape record, TCIM managers violated State & Federal tape recording laws and my civil and legal rights.

I would appreciate your comments. I have on tape the TCIM Branch Manager telling me I am being fired for answering employee questions about my problems with the company, talking to employees badly about the company and for continuing to tape record on TCIM premises after I was first warned not to in January of 2002.

I had great work attendance, good sales and received several sales awards, 3 of which I retained for documentation purposes. Needless to say, TCIM has a very heavy turnover. -----

I forgot to mention that TCIM deceives their telemarketing clients by having the telemarketers use "short scripts"(written by the telemarketers or TCIM) instead of the client approved "long scripts" the clients provide and contract to be used. During client visits to TCIM and even during long distance client telephone monitoring sessions, the telemarketers are ordered to go verbatim using the client provided "long scripts" as long as the telemarketers are subject to client scrutiny. As soon as visiting clients go to lunch or leave TCIM premises or hang up on the monitoring phones the telemarketers are told to revert back to the "short scripts" because "short scripts" sell better.

Friends told me the Oklahoma State Attorney General made some comments on television news broadcasts about "short scripts". The friends did not hear if he said they were illegal. I am wondering if fraud is a possibility in TCIM lying to their contracted clients about how these "long scripts" are supposedly always used?

Drug use is prevalent at TCIM as well, among supervisors and general workers especially. Reference USA listed corporate TCIM headquarters as TCIM SVC, 1011 Centre RD #403, Wilmington, DE 19805-1281, phone number (302) 633-3000, Fax (302) 633-3039, toll free 1-800-333-2255 (this is the correct company controlling Norman TCIM as I have faxed them repeatedly and in response received phone calls from the TCIM Human Resources Executive Linda Schellenger, while I was at work) and also listed estimated sales for 2001 as $20 to $50 Million!

I HAVE BEEN EMPLOYED BY TCIM FROM SEPTEMBER 2, 2008 TO FEBRUARY 2009. 2 SUPERVISORS NOTIFIED ME THAT MY EMPLOYMENT WAS BEING TERMINATED. THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE REASON FOR THIS WAS BASED ON A CUSTOMER COMPLAINT RECEIVED BY QWEST.

AS CONVEYED TO ME, THE COMPLAINT REPORTED THAT I TOLD THE CUSTOMER THAT SHE WOULD NOT BE CHARGED A $200.00 DEPOSIT ON HER CREDIT CARD FOR SIGNING UP FOR A DIRECT TV ACCOUNT. THEY SAID THAT QWEST ORDERED THEM TO TERMINATE ME FOR THIS COMPLAINT. MY QUESTION IS: DOES THIS ORDER FROM QWEST PUT AN END TO THE MATTER?

THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME SELLING DIRECT TV. THE SCREEN DID NOT SAY THAT THE CUSTOMER IS REQUIRED TO GIVE A DEPOSIT. SO THAT IS WHAT I TOLD THE CUSTOMER. IS IT THE POLICY OF TCIM TO TERMINATE THEIR EMPLOYEES BASED ON ONE HONEST MISTAKE, WITHOUT A CHANCE TO CORRECT IT, OR A CONSIDERATION OF THEIR DEMONSTRATED HONESTY AND DILIGENCE AND DESIRE TO OFFER A VALUABLE SERVICE TO THE COMPANY? MIGHT IT NOT BE BETTER TO TRY TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF THE EMPLOYEE, AND THEREBY IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF THE OVERALL COMPANY.

MY RECORDS SHOW THAT WHILE I WAS WORKING AT TCIM, I ONLY HAD ONE ABSENCE, WHICH WAS SCHEDULED AND APPROVED. I ONLY HAD 2 OR 3 TARDIES.

THE TREATMENT I GOT FROM TCIM IS UNACCEPTABLE . I CAN ONLY ASK FOR KARMA.

You can contact me at (((email Redacted))) and we can pool these people together to start a class action suit. I think this would be a great way to proceed since there are numerous victims of this company. I will go on record. Forget these people. An employee should be treated with respect and not like some refuse. I am a victim too. Everytime someone puts a rebuttal or statement about tcim its gets listed with google seacrh engines. TCIM will come up on searches and it will show the type of corpoeration it really is. I never made 80,000 a year like I was led to believe by Darlene Hancock. Darlene Hancock and her daughter are total losers. I could really use the commission checks now that I was suppose to get back in May 2008.

Yes, I think definately if the employees making these postings come together for good in a class action suit that compensation can be achieved. AT&T is tightly wound with TCIM and I am sure the publicity of a court case with possible testimony coming out of sexual, racial discrimination, wanton fraud, coercion and God knows what else.

I know I started with the company with the hopes of trying to do something. I was told that it was a professional position garnering respect with a posibility of making 100,000 a year or more. What a F$%*ing lie that was. A company that gets rid of and discourages good workers won't last.

TCIM in Longview Tx stand beside thair promises!

I was one of the many that were hired on at TCIM in Longview TX to launch their inbound program. During my interview i was told that I would get a hire-on-bonus, but it was going to be divided into two payments. I believe the first at 30days and the 2nd at 90 days. After working there for about 1 week I was being educated by my fellow employees about TCIM's false promises, whether it be not getting the bonuses, not getting paid for hours worked. I thought to myself, "surely these are just rumors,this place has too many employees to be messing up almost everyones checks like this." Needless to say after working there for about 90 days, i had not recieved neither one of my hire on bonuses. I had brought this to my supervisors attention, who in turn brought this to one of the many managers attention. I was promised that it would be on the following check. Well 2 pay periods later, it still wasnt on there. Finally, after having to get serious with these people the general manager had a check mailed in asap.

In addition to having to make sure my managers are doing their job right, im taking inbound calls. I was taught in detail on how to make sales and how much the comission was. they just kept telling us about how much money we were about to make on comission. i know that i should of made anywhere between $200-$400 comission. NEVER SAW ONE PENNY!

And to make things alot more frustrating, every monday after payday supervisors would come around to each person with pen and pad and list how many hours each person got shorted on their paycheck.

Shortly I quit, Im a college graduate with a college degree and I and everyone else was treated like uneducated fools. Whats sucks is that I really enjoyed working there.

TCIM has bad work ethics.
