Team 1 Promotions - Kirby Sentria Vacuum ripoff Topeka Kansas

We were approached on Halloween Eve, at our house, by a lady giving a "shpeel" about cleaning the carpet on the stairs, or floor, etc....There was nothing in her speech about the NEW Kirby Vacuum cleaner they were trying to sell...It was only about this new "Dry Foam" product to clean the carpet. After about 10 mins of my wife trying to get this person to leave, my wife agreed to have her do it.

The lady left and disappeared...
During this time, I took the flyer that was given to us and searched the internet when I found the "Ripoffreport" website. I immediately found a report of an individual that has already had this experience and printed the article - sorry "RipOffReport"..... It had the same company and address as this report - I stapled it to the flyer and told the wife to pass it onto the neighbors....nonetheless, a van(Montana plates) pulled up at the house with 5 bigs guys in it and we denied them even entering the house.

We checked on the local town's "laws" and it stated that a solicitor must have a permit prior to solicitation...We contacted the local authorities and they were arrested... The amusing part of this story is the actual "demonstrator" was performing a presentation at another house in the neighborhood while the arrest was occurring. So, he is actually siting at the end of the street waiting for his "partners" to be bailed out and their van to be removed from the impound.
I really do feel sorry for them, but....such is life.....
