The vacuum was purchased on 9/17/2011. I tried calling on 9/19/2012 numerous times to return the vacuum, we had changed our minds, couldn't afford it & the vacuum we were sold was NOT brand new!! The seller told us it was used but still worked good, us being young thought it was a good deal but after he left changed our minds. I again called on 9/20/2012, still no answer or response! After the third day the contract said we couldn't return so I assumed we were stuck with it, so I made the first payment, then I had been hearing about sketchy people selling vacuums just to steal the items in your home, so I was reluctant to sending another payment. The other reason why I didn't send another payment is because I could never get anyone to answer my phone calls to talk to me so I assumed they weren't even legitimate!I wasn't going to keep sending in payments when I could never get a response. As you can imagine my frustration as we did not want to keep or have to pay $1881.00 for a vacuum we changed our minds about!! I believe the sales persons name was Jason hard to read his hand writing. Also the sales rep came into our home and drank some of our alcohol that we had been drinking! The sales rep also took my shark floor cleaner and our old vacuum to take some of the price off. My shark was brand new and the other vacuum wasn't that old.

Once again........

AUTHOR: Adolph - (USA)

You're dead in the water on getting any money back from the Kirby sales store. On this type of borderline legal sale the "contract" is usually sold immediately to some slimeball loan company at a discount. The money's gone. You now owe the finance company, who couldn't care less if your Kirby went up in flames next week. Also sadly, if you agreed to pay $1881.00 the contract was probably discounted to as little as $1650.00 more or less t0 the finance company. These contracts can only be sold at a sharp discount as they are notoriously difficult to collect (when the customer comes to realize how badly they were screwed).
.
If a door-to-door sales person doesn't directly represent an established local brick-and-mortor store, (and they seldom do) don't open the door.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

It is their tactic

If they don't answer the phone, then no one who purchased a vacuum can return it. Then, if you don't make a payment they take you to court and if you don't show up they get a default judgement against you then garnish your wages.

Regarding Team Financial, I would file a complaint with the Mo Division of Finance, they might not even be licensed.

Also, legitiment Kirby sales people aren't supposed to sell used Kirbys.
