It all began last year in September with a very nice introduction and a very promising future in accounting after just few months of accounting school here in Las Vegas/NV at the Techskills Institute.. They've promised free books,etc..which in the end I paid for quiet few of them and cost me close to 600 dollars honestly.. They also promised to find the job in this domain.. Close to the end of this school, they send me to few different interviews in which I never got the jobs.. But my complain here got nothing to do with this, so it is something related with the loan which appear to be a scam and very suspicious.. So, after few months of payments, my loan account was transfered or switched to a different one.. I called the phone number mentioned in the docs provided and related with the payments option place and there was a very nasty persons including the supervisor and the manager which argue continuosly and having a very rude and with a very nasty attitude.. The whole issue is that the old account it is still not closed and still show ballance and late fees plus pile of months behind and due amount.. I insisted on why the old account it is still OPEN and why it was not closed since I make payments to the new account provided.. They were very unprofessional and very nasty stating that the old account it's ''IRRELEVANT" and was not updated.. Well...wait a second a said... Why then you guy still have that old one open and with due ballance and late fees on top.. It appear that someone update that old account since it show every single months missing payments, so there is someone doing it in the meantime.. They also told me to disregard that info from the old website, and do not wary about it because I'm up-to-date on my monthly payments, and so let it go because it is irrelevant.. I DON'T THIK SO, it that irrelevant since someone update that info every single months.. There is no way, anyone will do it IF there is no reason of that or behind that, so I insisted on closing the old account , OR I WILL NOT make any other payments anymore.. Still dealing with this arrogant company as we speek today of 11/03/2009..
I also found out that here at the Ripoff.com were others complaining about this ''Techskills Institute'', and their scam practices..
I will make a complain to the District Attorney Office A.S.A.P..

Unfortunately this "chain" of places is known for their rudeness, lies and scam of a "school". I went to the one in Broofield, Wisconsin (http://www.ripoffreport.com/Computer-Training-Education/Tech-Skills/tech-skills-ripoff-horrible-co-a7za8.htm) and they've gone downhill over the years.
1. Techskills whole money-making scheme is to tell you to "read and study" a book you can get anywhere (including the library) and then not help you. If you're *really* lucky they may have an "extra copy" you can "borrow", but good luck with that.
2. After studying (On your own with no help from them) they let you take some electronic practice tests (Which you can also purchase on your own from other companies) and if you score high enough you get the priviledge of paying them $150 to take the "real" certification test.
So basically you are paying them for the priviledge of using their electronic practice tests and nothing more. These people will not help you. All they did was insult me over and over and even had the nerve to tell me that "I will never pass the test" (This came from a manager whom I never met before, but took one look at me and because I am a WOMAN I was doomed to failure). That's how backwards this place is and how insulting it is.
Do not give this place a cent of your money. Save that money and run, you can do the tests on your own and get the book from a library. That way you can work at your OWN pace and forgo the insults.
