Tek-Micro.com takes funds, delivers only broken promises, Internet

This is taken from my review on Reseller Ratings:  I ordered the OEM Windows XP Pro software on 29 Nov 2011. Today is 4 Dec 2011, and my order status is "awaiting fulfillment". Apparently, this means that they do not actually have the item to sell, which is pretty poor form since their policy is "We ship most orders same day before 3pm Eastern time if the order is placed by 3pm Eastern" 

NOT happy with this, and I'm starting to get the run-around on the communication. I was promised a followup today, but apparently no one is in. Maybe this will get a response.

Time passed, more promises from Tek-micro that the shipment would be arriving the 5th and would be arriving by the 9th.

Today is 9 Dec 2011 - I just got off the "live chat" with Tek-Micro. Now the story is that the shipment will arrive "early next week as the shipper delayed the shipment due to payment issues". (Emphasis added - the quote is taken from my transcript of the chat session with Tek-Micro)

Due to this I have now cancelled the order as Tek-micro cannot deliver what they do not own, and I am demanding my funds be returned by the END OF THE DAY. I am not willing to give Tek-Micro an interest-free loan, since they are very obviously a very poor credit risk.

The "back-ordered" shipment was not actually back-ordered, but rather, had not been paid for!!  Tek-micro will take your money and give you promises.  Whether or not you actually ever get what you ordered is questionable.
