Teledias Communications, Inc. USBI charge on AT&T phone bill showed they switched my long distance carrier from AT&T to Teledias Internet

On Jan 4th, 2013 I received a phone call from 219-226-0640 and caller ID said Indiana call. When I answered, the lady said she was from FedEx and was trying to deliver a package and they had system problems the past few days.  

She said my name and address and wanted to verify that was correct.  Then she said that she needed to verify she was speaking with someone over 18 so she needed my birthdate. I told her I would not give out that information.

I asked where the package was coming from and she said Florida.  She asked again for my birthdate. I told her I wouldn't give that out.  She said that I was receiving a phone card for free phone calls. I asked why I would be getting that and she hung up on me.

I just received my AT&T phone bill. It showed a charge for $48.83 from USBI with a phone number of 888-472-8724. Page 2 showed my service was changed on Jan 8th. Page 3 of the bill showed the long distance company was changed to Qwest Communications Corp or a company that resells services of Qwest Communications Corp. Page 4 of the bill showed the long distance carrier is Teledias Communications, Inc. at 800-215-9606.

I called AT&T and they said they would contact the company to reverse the charges. They said to pay just what was owed to AT&T without those charges. They said within 48 hours the charges should be reversed.
