Telrite Corporation Won't Bury my Dad Covington Georgia

My father passed away in April 2013.  I have tried to change the name on our monthly bill from Telrite.  They continue to refuse to change the name on the billing for year and half since my father's death.  They say they need verification that he has died.  They say they need to have proof of death thru county paperwork.

I say, this is not an insurance policy, or changing of a will, or anything highly legal.  it's a freaking phone bill.  They should put whatever d*** name I want on the billing.  Big corporations are willing to change only the first name on their billing to us.  But Telrite continues to forbid any change.  I understand what they are requiring, but I feel we shouldn't have to prove my father is dead.  We keep paying the bills, we should be able to request a name change, especially if it is merely the first name changed on the billing.  If we were changing our address, they wouldn't hesitate to change that.  They wouldn't need verification thru utility records.  So why act so foolishly??
