So sad! I specificaly told Teresa, when we originally talked, that I am handicapped & was looking for a pet quality, SMALL dog. She said she had a male that had 32 champions in his bloodline & he would grow to be no larger than 6 lbs. That sounded perfect because I use a walker to get around & can't lift more than 5 pounds.
She said she was coming to the L.A. area that night & we could meet at her friend's house. I met with her & again asked about his weight. According to the AKC a Chihuahua should never be more than 6 lbs.
Pickles is HUGE! I have a 5 lb. female & he is more than twice her size. Suffice it to say I can't lift him, walk him, etc. Whas a DISAPPOINTMENT. In my mind, my dog, can't be from champion lines.
Yes, I have taken him to the vet about his weight & size. He has been on diet food, gets no treats, etc. & still does not lose weight.
