On March 13, 2012, I ordered a clawfoot shower curtain made of hemp (natural fibers, supposed to be mildew resistant) from TerraLunaSol.net.  I emailed once with no response so filed a dispute on paypal. They emailed the following: "Hello, Your order was received and processed.  Curtain orders are made to order in the order received and typically take at least 2-3 weeks to delivery.  Your order should be shipping out the end of this week beginning of next. When you file a pay pal dispute they hold the funds by pay pal.  If the funds are held I am unable to ship the order.  Please cancel the dispute so your item can ship."  This was on March 28, 2012.  I canceled the dispute, reluctantly because once a dispute is canceled on Paypal, it can not be re-opened.  It is April 11, 2012 and I have not received the item or any more communications even though I have emailed them again.  The total price with shipping was $145.00.  I think its ironic that I was asked to close the dispute so they could ship, and then they did not ship, leaving me no recourse.  Caveat Emptor and people beware, this site is bogus in my experience.

It took 8 days for them to respond, and they were given 10 days.  They emailed to say it had been shipped.  I received it the following week, 6 weeks after ordering.  I closed the claim since I received it but will say I doubt I would have if PayPal had not escalated it to a claim.  I will never order from them again.  But to be fair, I am posting it on here that it was resolved when I received it.  Of course I did not close the claim until I received it.  I will need more shower curtains but not from them.  I can find better service and prices elsewhere.

Paypal escalated dispute to Claim

AUTHOR: Terri - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, April 12, 2012

I emailed PayPal to tell them the story.  They decided to escalate the dispute to a claim.  I explained why I had closed it, because of the seller stating I had to so they could ship.  Dumb on my part, I'm clear, anyway, they have 10 days to respond.  Hopefully one of two things happens, I get a curtain or I get my money back.  Either way, not closing any claim until I have one of those two things in hand.  Updates will follow, hopefully will be resolved but its a shame I had to go through a claims process in the first place.
