I inquired about a home based business. Terri Johns sent me an e-mail on April 15, 2008. Then I was told I would get my FREE info, which was a worthless CD and a workbook, for $9.95 shipping.
I was to listen to CD and do workbook, then she would call for a follow up to get me started.
The CD and so called workbook was a booklet, gave no info on what the job was. Just people jabbering about their 6 figure incomes, expensive homes and cars in the driveways. The booklet told nothing either.
When we had our phone conversation. She asked was I ready to get started. It would cost $199.00 that day. It was selling Herbal Life products.
I told her I was not interested. She then said I had to send the CD back or pay $29.95 for it. I told her I would send it back, it was of no use to me.
She said she would e-mail me the address to send it to. She never did.
Then she took $29.95 from my credit card. I called her and told her I wanted my money put back on my credit card.
She said I never sent the CD back. She then said she sent the address to me twice. This was a lie. I never received the info.
I then asked send it to me now. She said she wouldn't send it again. I told her to tell me it, as I had the CD packaged up and ready to send. She said once they received it, she would send my money back to my credit card.
She gave me the following address to send it too:
MERELLE WORLDWIDE, 804 PORT AMERICA, SUITE 400, GRAPEVINE, TX 76051
I mailed the CD on May 23. Have heard nothing from her or that company.
I have tried to contact the company by phone, 682-223-9160.
All I get is a message, I'm sorry that extention is busy. Call ext 500. Then I get they are busy. Now the message is fuzzy, must be a lot of people got ripped off. I would be willing to have this lady proscuited for taking my money from my credit card.

This post has been up here for awhile, but I am tired of seeing things written about the company I work for and it is time we had a voice. To the person who wrote this post, I am sorry you had a bad experiance with your "Personal Coach" or whatever they call themselves. But please direct your frustration at the right people.
First, I need to clear up that Merelle Worldwide is a fufillment center. We ship products for our client's. The person you reference in your post is NOT an employee of our company. They are all independent business owners who pay us to ship there product. YOU need to take up whatever your issue is with them. They are your point of contact. And there has always been a phone number on all of our FEDEX shipments. So, in case you did not see that, it is 682.223.9207,and has never changed. This number is provided for customers who have shipping related issued. All other issues need to be directed to whom ever sold you the package. Again, they are NOT EMPLOYEES of this company. Whoever you have been dealing with is the one who charged you for whatever product you bought, MERELLE WORLDWIDE has not charged you for anything. STOP slandering our company when you have not done all your homework. If you had you would realize that we are nothing more than a fufillment center shipping products for clients that pay us to do so.

Hello!
First off, I am very, very sorry that you were put through the cheap ringer like this.
Indeed, this person is an Herbalife Independent Distributor, and can operate how they choose.
Does that mean that they should completely ignore the rules and practices laid down by the company?
ABSOLUTELY NOT!
I am a proud Herbalife Independent Distributor, and am not afraid of saying so! My information is coming from the organization of one of the members who helped to build the company.
I assure you that everything I am stating here is fact, and I will address your issues.
One of the items that bothers me the most is the fact that they charged you $199.00 for what we call an INTERNATIONAL Business Pack. We actually charge no more than $102.00 for one version that INCLUDES $120.00 worth of product for your consumption. We also have another one that runs around $65.00 (prices include tax, freight, handling), that doesn't include as much product, but has some fabulous samples nonetheless.
This also allows you the license to do business not only in the United States, but in any one of the 65 countries that we are open.
We are the #1 Health and Nutrition company in the world. Not #2, or #3, but #1.
We have over 45 million SATISFIED customers worldwide.
We are publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange - HLF - which means that we operate with transparency. Any one who is not telling the facts out there should seriously reevaluate their business practices.
What CD did you get? Was it a home made one with lies, and scratches? Was it from Herbalife the company??
I don't know of any such "workbook" to get folks started. We have workbooks for our Success Training Seminars. Did they screw up, and send you the wrong book?

I am very sorry to hear this. Those incomes that you heard about are FACT (if what they sent you had integrity). But, the fact that you weren't taken to the next level is kind of sad.

We are not salesmen. We are well paid storytellers. We are successful BECAUSE (at least those of us operating correctly) the products work, and because we have such a strong reputation.

While she certainly had this prerogative, I don't find this to be of value at all! It was bad enough that you weren't given good information, and that you didn't have your objections handled. The least this distributor could have done was to let you keep the dang CD!

What a load of bull! Once again, by sincere condolences.

It is so sad that people are taking what has made Herbalife such a wonderful, and successful force in the market place, and are distributing this fraudulent noise that is doing no one any good.
