Tetco at 3700 Long Prairie Road allowed spoiled food stuff to be sold to the public.  On Saturday, Feb 14th 2009, the ice cream in the ice cream freezer melted completely due to the negligence of a former employee that accidentally unplugged the freezer.  The manager, at the time, ordered for the freezer to be plugged in again to allow the ice cream to re-freeze.  The manager (at the time) also ordered the employees to take down the signs that warned the customers not to purchase the ice cream.

During the next couple of days, the re-frozen ice cream was not only made available to the public but it was also SOLD to the public.  I called the district manager, SANDI MARTIN, on Monday, Feb 16th.  SANDI MARTIN called me back on Tuesday, Feb 17th and I told her all about the melting and remelting of the ice cream and I expressed my concern in regards to its availability to the public - especially children since it was this specific ice cream that was given to children as a prize for returning 'colored' seasonal Tetco coloring pages.

SANDI MARTIN  set up a meeting with me in my home the next day Wed, Feb 18.  I live less than a block away from the Tetco.  I presented the evidence to her and let her know of the spoiled foodstuff and many other serious situations that were festering at this store.  She, SANDI MARTIN, left my home showing genuine concern, yet she passed the Tetco Store and did not even stop in to resolve an issue that endangered the public's health and well-being.

It wasn't until the next day, Thurs, Feb 19th, that Flower Mound's Environmental Services (Health Dept) came in and deemed the ice cream unfit for consumption and ordered it to be thrown out.

In the short time that passed the manager of the store was fired.  SANDI MARTIN remained unscathed.  I wrote to 'higher-ups' within the Tetco corporate infrastructure asking that something be done in regards to the apathy displayed by a district manager.  Want to know what Tetco's response was?  SANDI MARTIN was made District Manager of the year.

For a while Tetco had a Tetco Tag - kind of like a CVS Card for frequent shoppers.  The Tetco Tag turned out to be a huge failure.  In the wake of the Tetco Tag's demise, a new scam emerged.  The Tetco Freedom Rewards Card.  A credit card-like rewards card that customers must swipe before each purchase to get money back (.02% of every dollar).  Nothing weird there right?

Well, the employees at this Flower Mound Tetco have been forced to shove this card down the throats of every customer that came into the store.  If the employees failed to do so, they were threatened with their job.  Finally the customers had enough of being badgered and bullied into taking these cards and began to voice their disgust.  Now, in order to keep the customers happy but the number of card swipes up - the employees must swipe a Freedom Rewards card before each purchase.  Not doing so could result in said employee's termination.

A different Freedom Rewards Card must be used by the employee at each transaction.  The card that was swiped must be offered to the customer and if refused the swiped card must be culled back into a pile of already swiped cards.  You see, this way there are multiple cards being swiped in a day.  Could this be to give the impression that the multiple card swipes are actual customers that are swiping a Freedom Rewards Card?

In my opinion, it sounds like Tetco is trying to create a false customer base through the Freedom Rewards Card's false popularity as a selling point for the Tetco stores.  Could it be that Tetco would like to show a prospective buyer how popular their Freedom Rewards Card is as a means to entice a sale?  Total RIP OFF!

The store at 3700 Long Prairie Road have a lot of good people working there.  Unfortunately they are being supervised by unfeeling and uncaring monsters that care for nothing but numbers on paper.
