Texas Career Solutions (Kent Miller) Does not deliver on services promised Addison Texas

Does not deliver what is promised.

First of all I would like to say that Kent is very professional and always prompt to return phone calls.  My issue is that he is selling a service he does not actually provide.  Really all you get out of his service is a professionally written resume and an updated LinkedIn Profile.  (Both were done very nicely)

When I met with Kent, he said I would be paying him to do all the work.  That he had all of these inside connections and job leads that were not public.  He said with my resume and experience companies would create positions for me and he could get me in front of these people.  He said I didn't have to worry about getting interviews, that he and his team would have no problem getting them for me.  I was using a service that works with you to help you get a job by teaching you the proper techniques.  Kent said "you can spend your time using them and learning how to do it yourself"  or you can use me and I will do all the work for you." 

I completed each task that Kent told me to.  After 4 days I had a resume and cover letter and updated profile on Linked in.  As I mentioned I was pleased with them.  That is where Kent's service stopped.  After 2 weeks I called him to discuss strategy, he said give it time.  After 4 weeks I called again and Kent said I need to find jobs online, apply and then send them to him and his team.  This was totally different than what he sold me on.  He said he and his team would do all the work, me finding jobs and applying for them and then send them to him is me doing all the work!

After 6 weeks I again called him and he said "well we will do another email blast"

Bottom line is that not one person called me nor did Kent give me one lead or get me 1 single interview during an 8 week period.  I finally realized that if I was going to get a job it wasn't going to be through Kent and his team  who I was paying "to do all the work".   I changed my strategy and starting networking heavily through my own network and had 7 interviews and 5 job offers within 2 weeks.  Trust me,  Kent is a great salesman,  I know because I have spent my life in sales!  He can not help you with your job search other than with your resume and LinkedIn profile which he outsources to a professional.
