Texas DFPS, Texas CPS Child Protective Services THINGS HAVE TO CHANGE WITH TEXAS CPS. DAMAGING INNOCENT FAMILIES. Texarkana, Texas

I'd like to state first that I am sorry that you are having a difficult time in dealing/communicating with DFPS. This is not a new issue, and you are certainly not alone. If you find yourself open to the idea of having someone go over your case with you, please contact me. I am no one special. I'm simply a parent dealing with my own personal story involving DFPS. I am currently conducting research regarding the agency's adherence to statute, code and policy. I am continuing to travel a similar road as you traveled, and have been doing so for the last 18 months.  My situation does not involve my own child, but a child in my immediate family we have been trying to seek custody of but more importantly just fighting to keep safe and protected (Even if that meant she were adopted by a stranger in another state).

We, as in you & I & all others impacted by the malpractice of Texas DFPS and CPS are the only ones that can help make the changes needed.  CPS is a necessity unfortunatly, and not all employees are "bad".

I encourage you to contact the Texas Sunset Committee.  They do not deal with individual cases, they listen to the publics ideas & opinions on changes that need to be made within the "System" and take them to legislation to try to have bills & laws passed to change the way things are done.

Also, if you have not heard of them, contact the Department of Family and Protective Services Office of Consumer Affairs and file a grievance through them verses the Regional Department.  The OCA is an unbiased agency over the state of Texas verses the Regional Department works directly with the employees you contacted them about.

I hope this helps.  More so, I hope people realize that until we "come together" per se, changes will not happen quickly if at all.

Everything you have said goes on day afterday. I have been fighting CPS for about 11years now. Never been taken away from me  but my ex finnally after i had to tell my son to tell someone at school because mom cant get them to listen to me I was just an "angry ex wife" my kids were put back in the home and 3m later my oldest son was beaten with a broom handle in vitale parts of his body. I have had to fight sense then because of other ex wife really being "angry ex wifes" although this time they were taken from my home because my husband at the time had popped one of his kids in the mouth my kids were not touched.this man has past CPS historywhere he was the abuser and is getting his kids back. My kids are well old enough to tell were they want to be. the judge gave me one week to get a job,a house and pick bf or my kids. I am working on disablity and can not work. They made it were i have to pay 407 a month and dont even have a job. they ex husband makes 1200 a week and does not have to pay a dime. a judge has told CPS to leave me alone but It just made them mad. my ex knows ppl in this town and is getting away with the lie. I done all my servise plan and "somehow" my paper work was lost and had to start over. they change dates on thing . ano one seems to want to fight CPS.. I had a court appt. att. but she quit because I wnted to fight for my kids. I did nothing wrong nor have my kids been harmed and now they have taken PMC over my kids I have a chanse of getting them back but scared they will just come get them again as are they. they are in a good home right now they have been beaten in foster homes in the past and the home they are in not is being investigated for abuse to one of my boys.Im at a lost I cant work I have no money to hire and att. if I could even find one that would fight CPS. I have to believe that there are cases out there that CPS is helping but it is scarry to know there are ppl who know how to work the system and get away with things..

ABOUT MY REPORTS: Texas CPS is not a total rip off. They are out to protect kids and are VERY GOOD at it. If you are guilty and do not protect your kids you will go down if they get a hold of you.  People making false allegations, abusing, and using the system is the problem and when this is done they can't just ignore them. They have to investigate every allegation to protect kids. Yes innocent good parents get hit. Best thing to do is to educate yourself if you are innocent. PROTECT your kids is what we have done and it works when this happens and get ready because they will educate you real fast how they do it. If we educate the abusers the system will not work.
