I PURCHASED AN ORIBTREK FROM THANE INFOMERCIAL WITHIN THE LAST 5 MONTHS...IT HAS HAD TO BE REPLACED 3 TIMES ALL FOR THE SAME REASON.....A BOLT HAS SNAPPED DURING EXERCISING THAT HOLDS THE PEDAL TO THE BIKE! THE FIRST OCCURANCE CAUSED A SEVERE LACERATION TO THE LEFT CALF, CAUSING ECCHYMOSIS, PAIN AND TENDERNESS TO THE AREA FOR AT LEAST A MONTH. IT TOOK THANE 2 WEEKS TO REPLY TO MY COMPLAINT AND ONLY AFTER ARGUING WITH THEM FOR HOURS DID THEY AGREE TO REPLACE THE UNIT. THE REPLACEMENT LEFT BLACK METAL SHAVINGS ON MY FLOOR AND WITHIN WEEKS THE SAME BOLT SNAPPED! THEY REPLACED THAT UNIT AND GUESS WHAT...THE NEW UNIT WITHIN 2-3 WEEKS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM! THE BOLT SNAPPED AND IT IS VERY SHARP AND DANGEROUS! THEY WILL NOT REFUND MY MONEY NOR REPLACE IT UNLESS I AM INCONVIENCED AND RETURN THE 55 LB UNIT TO THEM AT MY COST!
I SPOKE TO THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE, TECHS AND EMAIL THEM..THEY STILL HAVE NOT RESPONDED TO MY COMPLAINT!!!!
