In September of 2013 Chris Miller, of The Akronist, was contracted to provide videography services for a film about a kidney transplant patient.  The film was to follow the patient before and after surgery in hopes of raising awareness of the need for organ donors in The United States.

Almost immeduately the problems started.  Chris missed the first meeting with the patient requiring the producer to coddle and encourage him to continue with the project.  He repeatedly dodged e-mail communications sometimes takeing up to a week to respond to simple, one sentence e-mails i.e. "What is your phone number?"

As the project progressed Chris started to complain that he was "broke."  At that time the producer made arrangements to run a funding campaing to make sure Chris had money to fix his finacial problems.  Chris was offered $5000 for his services, an amount well over what his actual industry rate would have been.

The producer was endlessly patient with Chris, sending him e-mails of encouragement.  He made attempts to call Chris on the phone multiple times only to be greeted with Chris constantly interupting the conversation to scream at his soon to be ex wife.

After thirty days of endless patience the producer finally became frustrated when he asked Chris how he had handled the heart attack scare that the kidney recipient had undergone just a day before.  Chris, who was filming a documentary about this subject, was completely unaware that the subject was in the hospital.  Chris then blew up on producer saying, "Now YOU are going to give me s**t?"  Then, he quit the production.

This left the producer - who had generated funding gaurantees - without the necessary piece of film to run a Kickstarter funding campaign.  Throughout the entire six weeks Chris was a part of this project he repeatedly claimed he was going to mail the footage to the producer so that he could use the footage to pitch the film to major cable networks.

At this time the producer demanded the footage, and then provided Chris with an address, three miles from Chris' office, for him to personally drop off the footage.  Chris' response was to place the film footage in an envelope, labeled with the wrong return address, and then drop it in the machinery of the U.S. Postal Service. The USPS ground mail machines are well known for destroying sensitive digital equipment.

The producer made repeated attempts to contact Chris, via text, e-mail, Facebook messaging, and on his wall for The Akronist.  Chris response was to ban, and flag as spam, any person who demanded answers from him, inclusing the producer.

At the time of the typing of this report the producer still has not recieved the footage.  Chris refuses to communicate.  He has began personally issuing slanderous, and libelouts statements about the producer causing his harm in his personal life.

The results of Chris' actions have left the producer - a disabled person - and the kidney transplant recipent in a position where they now have to run a funding campaign after, rather than before Christmas.  This means that the funds to make the film would have come three weeks before Christmas.

The film project has been compleetekly destroyed.  Chris Miller refuses to correct the situation.  The produder has been stuck trying to find another videographer in a city where there is no film industry.  Chris Miller is a predator and a con artist.  DO NOT do business with him.
