DO NOT USE ASSURANT SOLUTIONS for a Service Agreement.  The Assurant Company, located out of Michigan, is a shady outfit and cannot be trusted.  We had a service agreement with them for our refrigerator.  We have needed repairs on no less than 4 occasions over the past 2 years on a 7-year-old unit.  Three of those calls were for the same problem.  On the most recent call, they would not send anyone out for 3 days, causing food to spoil.  This was not acceptable and we demanded they allow us to call a repair person on our own, which they approved.  (((competitor's name redacted))) responded and they were wonderful; diagnosed the problem right away and proceeded to tell me the following.  They said the Assurant company will rip you off every time.  They validated this assessment by pointing out to me the rookie-style work performed on my refrigerator.  These crooks had used white tape to mask the lousy work they did inside the refrigerator.  He said they only do the minimum so they do not have to pay for the work required.  They also asked my repair guy if he could attribute my service-call to lack of maintenance so they could deny the service repair.  He knew what they were doing and said absolutely not.  This is a tactic they like to use to avoid payment, he said.  Anyway, they denied the needed repair stating it was too expensive for the contract and agreed to give us a minimal amount for the refrigerator.  Thanx loads Assurant!  DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE - they will rip you off.... And they don't care.
