The Bethony Group So many problems!! Aurora Colorado

When my sister and I moved into our apartment, it was absolutely disgusting!! The carpet was gross, there was pet hair all over the floor, clumps of lint from the dryer, and the linoleum in the master bathroom was lifting in the corner and it had tampons wrappers, used q-tips and used dental floss. We had to clean the whole apartment before we could even move in our furniture.

There had been a shower door on my bathtub and it was ripped off and they failed to even attempt to clean it. I had to scrub my bathtub for almost two hours with CLR and a brillow pad.

There have been numerous problems with unfinished work orders. Our washer over-flows and it still has not been replaced. Our windows don't shut all the way and they have yet to be replaced. The screen door was bent and they still have not ordered a new one for us.

Our hot water heater exploded and when they replaced it, they got rust and mud all over the carpet and they still have not cleaned the carpet.

There have been many other issues such as mold underneath the bathroom sinks, toilets leaking and wateragainst the wall. Outrageous water bills!! We pay almost $100 a month just for water.

This winter there was a huge icicle hanging from the balcony that was over 2 feet long. If it would have fallen, it would have really hurt someone. The light in the stairwell was not replaced for almost 2 months and there was a huge patch of ice on the sidewalk that was NEVER taken care of. We have pictures of all this.

My sister's car has been broken into 2 times already and the last time they actually tried to steal it. The cops won't come out and we understand that The Bethany Group is not responsible, but what happens the next time they are actually successful and they do steal her car. What are we supposed to do then?

I have written a letter to our complex manager and they did a few things, but then just stopped coming all together. I called the District Manager and she was unwilling to cooperate in any way. She said that she could move us to another apartment and fix our pending work orders.

I feel that our safety is at hand in this situation. We pay $100 a month for parking and it is obviously not doing any good. There is obviously someone in the complex that wants my sister's car and they have already broken into it twice. My sister's car had to be towed the other day because they damaged it so badly that it would not even start.

I have rented before but I have never rented from a company that is so unwilling to work with people. It is very discouraging that there are companies out there that feel they can walk all over people. I am not done with this fight and I will do all I can to get out of the lease.
