The Brampton Group ,Wesley , Richard Thompson Scammed out of $1300 for an already rented apt Cambria Heights New York

I posted an ad on craigslist look for a 3 bedroom apt. I the recieved a call from a Wesley Thompson of the Brampton Group, we then set up a date to see a 3 bedroom at 359 halsey street brooklyn ny 11211. I saw the apt and fell in love. I told him I had a section 8 voucher. He told me that he accepted it but since section 8 approval is such a lengthy process and so many ppl were interested he would need one months rent to hold the apt for me. He stated that once the paperwork went through and all the financial requirements were met by the appropriate agencies my money would be returned.

The paperwork was process and the apt was inspected on 7/7 with a move in date set for 8/1 pending minor repairs. once the repairs were done i was to fax section 8 a letter of approval and i could move in. From 7/7 until 7/25 i recieved nothing but the run around from Wesley eveyrday he promised to meet me wit the paper and never did.

On the 25 i got the landlords number from the inspector and called her at this time her daughter informed me that she was handling the apt for her mom and that on 7/7 after she found out the interworkings of section 8 decided not to accept the program at this time she notified wesley and fired him hiring another agent who could find her more suitable tenants. she also stated to me that Wesley was not authorized nor had he ever mentioned taking money on behalf of the apt. And sadly it was already taken.

At this point Wesley said the landlord was lying I got him on a three way call unbeknown to him and caught him telling the landlord I was lying. I called him and demanded a refund and he told me to kiss his a** that he wasnt giving me s**t.
