The Chubb Institute, New York Ripoff Dishonest illegitimate School Don't waste money on CHUBB!! New York New York

I wen't to the Chubb Institute for the Graphics program. I was told in my so called "entrance interview" that I could work towards a degree in my second term by the Director of Admissions. She told me that the school will be merging with another school to provide the degree option to the students.

I decided to follow-up on this statement while checking to see if my credits transferred for the second year and was told by the Evening Manager that the second term is not in a classroom it's an online course. I was told that the courses were general education and on top of my tuition I'd had to sign a contract to pay an additional $10,000 for the online school. Had I been informed of this in the interview I would not have continued studying there. I also found out that you don't even get certified from the school, you receive a piece of paper that says "Congratulations you have just graduated from the Chubb institute". In order to get certified you have to take an exam online. Why was I and my classmates not informed of this in the interview? They took my $100 enrollment fee and ran with it.

The staff there is unprofessional, there is barely anyone available when you call, most times there is only one person working in the financial aid office which is ridiculous so your calls don't get returned. The admissions rep I had had a serious attitude when I wanted to leave the school and told me "that Chubb doesn't have dropouts so I can't get my enrollment fee back". She had an attitude like she was working on commission. They switch teachers every semester and the teachers don't even lecture-they read directly from the textbooks. One of my teachers worked for a bank and was teaching our technical writing class, he mentioned to us that this is just a part-time gig for him. It was just a extra income job for him. They hire anybone to teach at this school -It's ridiculous.

I also found out that they are just a subsidiary of AIG insurance so they don't have much job placement options. They check with the insurance company first and that's it. I quit the school after I found out I was mislead and they are claiming I owe them more money than the loans that were dispursed from the government. They I owe the school the money but not the bank. That even sounds weird.

I basically wasted my time there and money and got nothing in return, my credits to my new school didn't even transfer.

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE TIME AND MONEY ON THE CHUBB INSTITUE!!!

They need to be put on that tv show Shame On You
