The Coco Bar Offered false promises of job opportunity as a device to hustle free labor out of me and my roommate. Miami, Florida

Sometime between August and September of 2011, I went in for an interview at this establishment called Coco Bar, a new-gay night club in the doral area of Miami Dade County. I saw the job posting on craigslist, so with good faith I came in search of a job opportunity with my friend.

I was given false hopes into a job opportunity that never came to light.
I passed out more than 200 flyers and my colleague informed me that he has two dollars for me because of the two people showed up to the club, with my invites, I told my friend, I think he owes me more than 2.00 dollars, this truly is a disrespect of ones time, character and abuse of ones trust.
I came in and volunteered with a friend, our services in exchange for a job offer during the night clubs debut. We cleaned, put primer tape, lifted things, tolerated being a dusty, dry and hot room with no air conditioning. We did not receive food, drinks, or gas reimbursement for our time.

A few weeks later, the Owner Raymond Haldeman, told my friend, whom was offered a job, that he would pay him significantly less from a previously agreed rate of pay. My friend, told him he would not have that and would work from the amount previously agreed upon, Mr. Haldeman asks my friend dumbfounded, as if that conversation didn't happen, "how much did we agree upon"?
He forgot, because it would benefit his pocket?

I also spoke with my colleagues and they mentioned that they were not paid, after two weeks of putting in labor for Mr. Haldeman.

If you are seeking employment with The Coco Bar or any other business venture, in which Raymond Haldeman is in a position of power, please be advised to exercise objective caution. We can all agree, that we all exercise some caution, with any decision we make in life, and seeking a job is a good one to employ healthy amounts of caution.
