One of the owner, Josh Pape, goes, "Yeah this is a white spot" , on May 6th, 2010, @ 11:45pm, inside his restaurant The Diamond (located in Gastown vancouver, in Canada) to 4 Asian customers, who were harassed by racial comments and served with complete rudeness by the waitress.

It just sounds unreal but this incident happened last night (May 6th,2010) at this restaurant known as 'The Diamond' in GasTown. We were recommended to this place due to a good publicity this restaurant has (Mark Bran), turns out to be a racist restaurant.

From our research, Josh Pape is an award winner for vancouver bartender in 2009, very proud for him, only issue is that we've come to discover that he is a Racist who neglects NON-CAUCASIAN customers -- and it appeared that waitress was trained to be likewise (Dark Brown Hair)

Been living in Vancouver for more than 20 years and probably been to hundreds of restaurants in Vancouver.... First time being abused by the owner of the restaurant and waitress/manager. In the case where the owner should have came politely to apologize, instead, he loudly spoke to 4 Asian customers, that, the diamond is a WHITE SPOT.

Particularly we were very shocked at the attitude of this waitress who seemed to be very disturbed and decided to be a complete b***h on our table. We've sat down to make an order which never came for 10 minutes, raised a hand to ask about the order, she comes and says, "DO YOU KNOW THAT IT IS RUDE TO RAISE YOUR HAND AT THE RESTAURANT?????????" Yes, and she actually got PISSED OFF at us. Our question in mind is if the order is not coming and waitress is not serving as, what should we do? Our biggest question in mind is how she was trained, or if she was ever trained from this restaurant?

The waitress working there was TOTALLY uneducated with bitter attitude to all of my friends on the table. The girl worked between 9-11:30pm on May 6th, Thursday... pissed us off every single one of us on the table, this girl was in her own world... are you a server or a retard? that is sort of the question that came into our mind..

now, we didn't have much choice but to just leave the place because we wanted to save up some time but heck.. now this tall guy, perhaps a manager comes in with his arms crossed telling , "is there something wrong", the tone that's not very pleasant.

Now On the way out of this restaurant, one of the owner of Diamond restaurant (*www.di6mond.com), JOSH, goes, "Yes this is a White SPOT".

He should have carefully watched what he said to us (especially when every single one of us were business owners). We have been advising our customers and friends about this restaurant, Josh Pape, waitress/manager and it won't be too long until many people will be informed of this racist restaurant.

Before we came out, we've made a loud announcement to the whole restaurant, that, "IF YOU SUPPORT RACISM, STAY IN THIS RESTAURANT!"

This may sound like a funny story but it is very bitter to see that still in Canada there is an ACTIVE RACIST RESTAURANT.
