I started with this agency 6 months ago. Very flexible- (you can practically create your own schedule), must buy a certain table for these promos- its a cheapie, found at Target, Pays $15/hr, claims she will raise the pay (she said that when we first spoke, she initiated that discussion) but after several times of asking, I've given up on that, Unpaid trainings- but are only 15-30 minutes long, GREAT APP to report your sales, results and view your calendar with them.
All went great til last week. I asked if I could get a solid week of work in San Diego (I live in Palm Springs), I'd love to go visit some friends and make some extra money. Lucy Brown gladly gave me 4 days of work- totaling 2 promos a day. OK, that's $90/day- she was super accommodating and gave me locations super close to were I stay in SD. I checked in NUMEROUS times via email plus we even did a training the week before for a different brand I promoted here in the desert.

Day 1 of the promo 1- Realized my email had no location addresses so I called the store and introduced myself to the manager, told him I'd be there in an hour. UMMMM, was informed the store doesn't even carry the product I was to sell.
Day 1 of the promo 2- Called the second store, was told I'm not on the schedule and all events are handled thru corporate, they can not allow me to do the event. If I show up, I will be escorted out!?!

Called Lucy, she quickly said I should have not called and just showed up. I asked her to be sure my other bookings are secure, she promised all is well.
Day 2- Was cancelled about 2 hours prior to the event- Lucy Brown says Whole Foods (a whole different location then the first 2 promos) is having some sort of insurance issue. Then cancelled for second event- told the store made a mistake and never put me on the calendar.
This was my life for four days.

Cancelled each day hours prior to the events. I was cool with it til day 4. I firmly asked Lucy not to cancel me the next day, if she must cancel do it now. (It was the night before), as I have other work opportunities. Lucy agreed, but still cancelled the same day.
I have asked for some kind of compensation- I thought half of the lost income was fair. The Face Marketing simply said- to bad. Bummed, I really enjoyed these gigs, all was great- but to have SOOOOOOO many stores cancel is obviously neglect by the agency to actually secure these promos. I fell for the "its the store not us" on the first 6 stores.. by the 7th event, my patience is gone.
