I hired The Fresh Start Firm. LLC to modified my mortgage with HSBC and I paid the firm $1,625.00 and still no results. Tim told me he would modify the loan with 3 or 4 months but still today no results. He said my husband needs to get a job and get more income. Between my salary and his disability check I have enough money to pay the mortgage at a lower rate. He did not bring the case to the table because he just wants me to keep on paying the firm and not help me resolve the issue.

For freshstart as an old client

AUTHOR: Marnie - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 17, 2016

freshstart did everything possible for us. Your situation is very similar to my husbands and mine. If you didn't get your modification you had expected. I know for a fact that it wasn't because of anything freshstart was or wasn't doing. Those housing debt collectors are as corrupt as they come. White color criminals. They don't deal fairly with people. They're intentions are not to give your house back. Their intentions are to break you so you give up on fighting for your house. I can honestly say that whatever happened was not due to incompetency or neglect from the freshstart firm. You might want to open your eyes and see who are the ones really playing games. Your debt collectors or are you not being completely truthful about your half *** efforts.

And did I mention the hours of phone tag , w/ not just myself , but our mortgage Co ...... So , KUDO'S to them for their hearts ! .....The world would be a better place if they were like " The Fresh Start Firm" ! ...... I mean no disrespect to you and your circumstances ! Hi,

My husband is on disablility and cannot work period. The claims that Fresh Start is saying against my husband are false and he never made 3500 when he was working. If he made that kind of money I would of been able to pay my monthly payment without any problms. The Fresh Start Firm never halted the forclosure process from HSBC. HSBC always called me for any additional information and they sent me all the paperwork to start the loan modification. Since they ran out of excuses then they told us to sell the apartment and walk away with my equity but I said no. I never hired Fresh Start to sell my apartment they were suppose to modify my loan. After that they keep on telling me I am paying them to stay in my apartment. The bottom line is they never wanted to modify the loan but wanted me to keep on paying the fee every month without any results. I am requesting a full refund becasue Fresh Start failed to complete the job.

More False Claims against The Fresh Start Firm

AUTHOR: The Fresh Start Firm - ()

POSTED: Monday, July 08, 2013

Angela:  Are you denying the following statements regarding your case listed below.

1.  Since inception, we have always stressed the importance that your husband, Michael Troja, returned to work.  We had numerous conversations regarding his employment status.  Since he has left the workforce, his income has dropped from $3500 to $653 per month on SSDI.

2.  Michael Troja has stated that he has successfully attended numerous job interviews.  However, since the prospective employer would not pay him cash "under the table", he declined to accept a full time position.  His goal was to continue accepting Social Security benefits while working for cash.

3.  We discussed that even though your net income is $3000 per month, your cash flow is extremely tight.  Hence the reason that no mortgage payments have been paid for 4 years & absolutely no money has been saved over the 4 year period.

4.  We were able to halt foreclosure activity by HSBC during the time we worked your case.

5.  We moved your payment due date from 04/02/13 to 04/28/13, because of your financial hardship.  Essentially, this means we worked 26 days for free.

Since you feel entitled to "free" help, we will forward your case record direct to the US Federal Government.  A case worker will be assigned to this matter, so it can be handled accordingly.

Feel free to visit our success stories at www.TheFreshStartFirm.com or call 877.297.7011 for more information.

HI,

Whatever The Fresh Start Firm, LLC said is false. The total amount of my income is $3,000.00 without paying the The Fresh Start Firm. My husband is on disability and cannot work. The fresh start firm promise me and my husband they will modify the loan in three to four months. Six months pass by and still no modification because they decided I do not have enough income and they never brought the modificaton to the table. It is true that I have not paid my mortgage for several years but that was because I was trying to modify the loan without hiring a firm but no resuts. The Fresh Start Firm did not work for free because the minute I hired them I paid them $500.00 down  and $375.00 every month for a total of $1625.00 and I expected results but they did not provide me with any results. I stop talking to them because I realized they were ripping me off. They did not want to modify the loan becasue they wanted me to keep on paying the fee without any results. I am requesting a full refund because they made promises that could not keep.

False claims against The Fresh Start Firm

AUTHOR: The Fresh Start Firm - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, July 02, 2013

The person that filed this complaint, Angela Brigante of Brooklyn New York approached our firm in dire need of help.  Her current mortgage company was threatening her with foreclosure activity ~ because she had not paid mortgage payments in over a 4 year period.  Since she was 4 years behind on payments, we intially had concerns  bout taking on her case.  However, we proceeded to contact HSBC absoutely FREE of charge to determine the best course of action.  After completing a loan conversation with HSBC, we were able to put together strategy that would for the long run.  However, we still had serious concerns on this matter ~ since Mrs. Brigante had over $250,000 equity in the property.  We advised her to sell and move on with the proceeds ~ since she was in a dangerous foreclosure position and could possibly lose 250K.  However, since her husband had not worked in many years, their income was limited....hence the reason they were four years behind.  Since rent would increase their payments by 250%, they wanted to proceed with a loan modification to save the property.  We advised that in order to bring the loan modification / work out to completion, the husband MUST start working at least part time.  The extra income would be necessary to complete the case.  We took on the case and advised that we could challenge the validity of the debt with HSBC and stir up problems in order slow down the foreclosure process....while the husband looks for work.  Since our monthly fee is only $375 per month, this was an affordable plan for the husband and wife.  Many months passed leading up seven months....still no employment.     The husband advised that he was trying to find a job that pays cash under the table...so he could avoid paying taxes and still collect social security.  More time passed and the husband and wife stopped returning calls.  Which leads us to today.....a client that is not willing take the extra steps to help themselves and save $250,000 in equity.  We did everything we could to help this client....even waived a monthly payment due to financial hardship.  We have been in business for 11 years helping folks with a variety of foreclosure / debt problems.  Feel free to call my office with any questions on this matter ~ 877.297.7011 or visit success stories at www.TheFreshStartFirm.com.
