In touring eh Grand Mayan Resort/Time Share in Playa del Carmen was told that it would be possible to trade, even profit from the sale of my properties by the Golf Network.  I was given a price for sale of one time share in Cabo San Lucas and the sale of a fracture ownership in La Quinta Ca.  They said that there were Mexican citizens who woudld profit from this because it would make it easier  for them to gert "visas"" becauae they woud own propery in the U.S. (the fractured ownership in La Quinta).  I signed a contract and made a downpaymet of $9,485.00.  Additionally I sent a check for $232. to the Golf Netwek (CVM, Mexico) I also beleve that I sent  a check or charged another $800+ to CVM.  All of ths was witnessed by my nephew who was with me.

I have sent 5 emails to Mr.Juan Carlos Lozada requesting thes status on the sale of the properties  He has never returned or acknowledged my emails.  Addditonally, I wrote to my sales person at the Grand Maya, Tim Lester.  He answerd my mail and said that he woudl follow up.  That is over one month ago.  Nothing so far!

I just returned from a trip to the area.  I triedto meet with Mr. Lester.  He did respond but was out of town and not returning until after I left.  He has copies of all of the correspondence to Mr. Lozada.

I feel that the offer for the sale of the propery was a come on to buy the time share.  Otherwise I woudl not have signed any contract.  Admittedly, it sounded too good to be true.

Timeshare Scam

AUTHOR: margaretsims90 - ()

POSTED: Saturday, January 24, 2015

The salesperson will claim that they can resell the client's previously owned timeshare for a large sum of money and the purchase of the Mayan timeshare will be covered by this resale. This is a lie. Just another timeshare scam.
