I purchased a cute little puppy at Petland in Jan 2009. I was given AKC papers saying my puppy was a mini schnauzer. I followed every ounce of my contract or warranty. Come to find out I do not have a mini schnauzer the AKC papers are false my puppy cannot have the parents the AKC registration say they are. He isn't a mini schnauzer and I wrote to the AKC and sent in pictures of my puppy and they said they would follow up with The Hunte Corporation. I am still trying to get or follow up with Hunte Corporation or Andrew Hunte. There isn't much the AKC can do but, follow up with Hunte Corporation but, I will be getting an attorney this is how upset I am.
My puppy has several behavior problems and pretty much untrainable. The store I purchased my puppy in Altamonte Springs, Florida is now closed. I didn't want them to do something bad to the dog because the store was closing. I used my heart not my brain in this purchase however he is well taken care of he is better off with me or I think he would not be alive today.
Please find a way to help me locally in the Altamonte Springs, or Apopka Florida area to find a lawyer to sue Petland and The Hunte Corporation. Thanking you in advance for anything you can help me with.

I used to work at the Petland you purchased this puppy from. If you purchased it in January, then you purchased it a week before before the store closed. By that point all of the dogs were marked down by at least 70% so we could find them homes. You prob paid around $200 for the dog since that is what they were all selling for at that time. Also talking about how you didnt know what kind of terrible things Petland would have done to your dog- you were well aware that all dogs that didnt find homes were going to another Petland store. All employees told that to every customer that came in during the closing period. Tonya was the employee you worked with (if my memory serves correct) and you had been looking at the dog for quite a few days. You even put a deposit down on the dog to come back and get it another day. You definitley thought about your purchase so dont say "i let me heart instead of my brain do the talking" because you had plenty of time to use your brain.
I specifically remember you because this was one of the last puppies we had. And an employee had erroneaously told you that it had been sold. You got very upset about "how could we sell your puppy?!?!" I am the one that actually spoke with you and let you know that the other employee was confused and that your puppy was still there.
I dont know about the AKC forms. But your warranty says that Petland has no idea about the registrations, they get the registrations from the breeders who get them from the registries. Also there is no law regarding registration papers on dogs (not even in the lemon law) so you will be wasting money on an atty.
My advice is that you love your dog as he is and quit wishing he was better.
