The Institute of Technology (Clovis) RIP-OFF / WASTE OF TIME Clovis California

Institute of Technology (Clovis, Ca.) was a waste of my time and money. I started in January 2013 and completed the Administrative Office Professional Program (with honors) October 2013. I did participate in the graduation ceremony in March 2014. I have been sending my resume everywhere and I cannot find work. My career advisor was a joke. She "helped" me look for work but she was constantly sending me job leads that I wasn't qualified for. Big disappointment. She was terrible. My overall experience with the courses were not all great. I honestly felt like a few of the teachers didn't even know what they were doing. It seemed like they were learning from the book as they were teaching from it. Half the time it was just their personal opinion and not facts from the book.

A few classmates and myself caught another classmate cheating several different times (about 3-4) and we reported her the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th time but the school didn't do a d**n thing. If it were Fresno State, she would have been kicked out immediately. Just another example how big of a joke this school is. Not all staff member and teachers were incompetent like my career advisor and handful teachers... Mrs. Carey Jackson was an amazing teacher. Mr. Bob Locklin is awesome at what he does as well. I honestly feel like all I got from the Institute of Technology is a big bill without the education. Majority of the curriculum was common sense. All they want is your money. That's it. Plain and simple. They could care less if you succeed. And they proved that when they let my former classmate continue to come to school and graduate.
