Natural Bra, The Invention Channel Ordered From AsSeenOnTV.com Ripoff shipping and handling ripoff for online ordering faulty advertising deceptive practices and unethical marketing Fairfield New Jersey

On January 7, 2005 I attempted to order one (1) Natural Bra from the Invention Channel through the Asseenontv.com web site. The initial "sell it to you" screen indicated you could purchase one bra at $19.99 plus $7.99 shipping and receive one free. I am used to seeing a total and being asked to confirm the order before it is processed when ordering on line. While going through the ordering process, I was suddenly presented with a screen stating that my order was being processed and that there was a charge in excess of $100 - $37 of which was for shipping. There was nothing on this screen which gave any way to "cancel" or track the order or any way to contact the company.

I went back to beginning again and attempted to retrace my steps to see what had happened and if there was any way to cancel the order. Even though I was being careful, the screens were very confusing and somehow the order "processed" again before I knew it, creating yet another order in excess of $100. The on-line site gives absolutely no way to contact the company that sells this product. When you call the customer service phone number, all you get is voicemail hell.

After much confusion, I realized that at the bottom of the "order" screens is a pre-checked box which "adds" more products to your order as well as rush shipping. Every time you hit the continue button, you are ordering additional products without knowing it. The pre-checked boxes are BELOW the continue button so that you do not readily see them.

I will be contacting my credit card company to dispute these charges so that they won't be paid. This is a scam and you should not order any products from this company.
