what was ordered: One month of listing on the Knot

What I received:

I had my assistant research the Knot, as I felt like it was a good advertising avenue

for my business.

I was excited to have my full logo, and my full company name, displayed on the Knot web sit. My assistant had permission to oder one month of listings. She place that order, for one month of listings. She did not have permission to order a contract, with 12 months of listing. The 12 month agreement was never agreed to my me, and I did not even see the 12 month agreement from the Knot. My assistant did not see the twelve month agreement from the Knot. I would never have signed a twelve month contract with The Knot. I feel like my assistant, and I, were tricked into a twelve month agreement. My assistant only had permission from me, to agree to a one month agreement with the Knot. She did not have permission to contract for 12 months for my company.

Within the first two weeks, when I found out that that The Wedding Pages, The Knot, would not let me use my full company name, and would not let me use my logo, I tried to cancel. I got emails back like this one:

In regards to your cancellation request, I am sorry to hear that you wish to cancel. Unfortunately I am unable to cancel your current ad since you have not met your 12 month minimum commitment. According to your contract (see attached), all internet services require a 12 month commitment. Your earliest cancelation date is 4/30/15.

If you have any other questions, please let me know and I will be in touch.

Thanks,

Now they are harrasing me, and I am wondering,

Have there been other instances of this confusion with other Knot customers?
