There is a more complete video that hopefully can be found documenting this.  It keeps getting ripped down. I'm told probably because I call him a 'thief' or some other accurate descriptor.  A reputation defending company said 'you have to play the game...'  anyway..

Jack Valentijn used paypal to send 267.00 to me for a large number (20 sheets) of contact disks that I invented for repairing vintage synthesizers/keyboards.  He's trying to start a synth repair business he said and seemed like a nice guy.  I trusted him to read my ordering instructions which clearly forbade what he was about to do.  (Another guy Bozidar Ristic had already pulled this type of thing for 68.00 on me.  And this was thoroughly detailed so that everyone would understand that it is their responsibility to tell me what shipping they want to pay for including tracking etc. since that costs a lot extra!).

In saving people thousands of dollars over the years by not forcing them to pay 11.00 plus my paper tape boxing time for registered mail overseas every time someone wants to order a 10.00 key or whatever from me, I open myself up to the risk that someone will decide to hold me responsible if the item doesn't show up.  (Even though it's plainly there in my ordering instructions which Jack called 'the fine print'... AND even though I usually make note that they need to pay for tracking or be responsible if it doesn't arrive and not hold me responsible)   So far aside from the two chargeback cases,  I've only had two guys in Italy out of thousands of things who said their keys didn't arrive as I recall.  Both were normal and accepted responsibility for the gamble THEY took by not paying for registered mail.

Only these two so far have gone back and pretended that they paid for registered mail.  AND...to add insult to injury, NEITHER of them even offered to PAY the extra for registered mail after their item allegedly didn't show up!

Bozidar filed the claim after a couple weeks before the item would have even arrived possibly.  So it's pretty obvious what went on there.  Paypal insists that you have a tracking number or they hold the seller responsible.  A customs number isn't good enough for them.

Anyway Jack was CLEARLY told 'these are only coming in regular letter envelopes' for the free shipping included price.  He knew very well what was going on.  Because he received TWO of them seeing that they were just regular envelopes.  He never complained.  Never expressed concern.  Never asked to pay for registered mail.  He did however ask my source on the hi tech material that is used for the contacts after the second one arrived.  hmm.

Anyway after I sent the third he claimed it never arrived.  I offered to send him 6 more sheets (14/20 arrived he admitted)...for WAY below the price I do at very large quantities.  50.00 including mailer.  Not good enough for him.  He tried to get paypal to pay it back but it was out of the 45 day limit by that time since each one took a couple weeks to arrive.   So he charges back the entire 267.00 through his credit card company.  And completely ignores me asking 'is this for real!' etc.

I'm amazed this is possible and will never use paypal with people I don't know fairly well again probably.  Paypal shields me from even knowing WHICH credit card company is stealing my money through them!  There really should be a different way of handling this kind of issue.

Anyway so at the moment I'm out 267.00 plus a bunch of video production time and filling out stuff like this.  Sad to see that the guy's reputation wasn't worth 50.00 or...perhaps he'd planned to make this bigger score all along.  If he'd gotten me to send 6 more sheets I have an idea they might not have arrived either...

Jack you ignored me and yes it keeps costing

SOrry folks for my original report being confusing.  Some of the entry fields on ripoff report were confusing and it didn't come out right but the entire DETAILED report and video are on my sounddoctoorin.com page on the global synth resource link there and then click 'deadbeats'.  THERE IS A SCREEN SHOT OF MY PAYPAL TRANSACTIONS SHOWING where pp took out a 20.00 fee even..then restored it to me when they realized Jack had stolen from me outright. (And showing that Jack sent no partial refund as some seem to be under the impression. He's appaarently been lying to people as I have absolutely no money from him. He only sent the initial 267 then i got charged back that amount plus the fee and then pp gave back the fee.  )

Now the total is 365.00 actually Jack.  I expect to get paid for the time YOU COST ME IN TRYING TO STEAL 267.00 from me.  If you don't pay the bill then yes the cost will KEEP GOING UP like with ANY thing that goes to collections.

Simple enough for you?

Elaborate what?  YOU WERE A POTENTIAL LONG TERM CUSTOMER JACK.  Why would *I* mess you around over a 50.00 discrepency (which is what i was going to charge him for the replacement contacts he claimed did not arrive..which is well under ANY quantity discount I'd give.  )

Jack chose instead to steal the entire 267.00 back from me and ignore me.  GOOD TO SEE YOU FINALLY SAYING SOMETHING JACK.

Blackmail and bullying tactics are the underlying reason for the ripoff report

AUTHOR: Jack Valentijn - ()

POSTED: Monday, October 21, 2013

The ripoff report filed by Bob W**** of Sounddoctorin is part of an elaborate attempt to blackmail me. I regret that Ripoff.com provides a forum for such malicious and devastating practices.

Bob W**** threatened numerous times by e-mail to destroy my reputation and harm my business if I did not pay him a certain amount of money. By the time he threatened to file the ripoff report the amount he wanted to receive had increased to $332.

The blackmailing started after I ordered from Bob W**** 20 sheets of conductive carbon tabs for a total of $267 including shipping, and received only 14 sheets. Bob W**** refused to accept any kind of responsibility for the 6 missing sheets and became outright abusive in his correspondence.

Therefore I filed a dispute with my credit card company for an amount of 70.50 euro (one third of the transaction total). Bob W**** threatened to ruin my reputation if I went ahead with the dispute. At the same time he wrote to the credit card company when they gave him the opportunity to refute my claim: "This was resolved earlier when it was decided he waited too long to complain". He tracked down my wife's e-mail address and started sending her threats as well. He sent personalized e-mails to electronics companies, synth repair techs, musicians, and synth enthusiasts in the US and the Netherlands, warning them against me and asking them not to conduct business with me.

He added comments to random synth-related Youtube videos, stating that I am a scam artist and a thief. He posted similar messages on a synthesizer forum, for which he got banned from the forum. He also added me to his Deadbeats page, which is a long list that he keeps on his website of all the people who crossed him. At some point he started claiming that not 70.50 euro but the full $267 had been taken from him. He threatened to make a video "exposing my scam" if I did not pay him $267. When the video was finished, he wanted $40 extra for making the video. It was posted on Youtube and Vimeo but removed by the site regulators because of its defamatory content. Again, he wanted extra money, this time $25 for having to upload the video.

I would like to get in touch with other people who have experienced similar blackmail attempts and bullying tactics by Bob W**** aka Sounddoctorin. So far two people have come forward.

Below are some examples of e-mails that Bob W**** of Sounddoctorin sent to me.

Video completed. last chance to admit I have the right to enforce my ordering instructions Jack.   Maybe think of yet another occupation because a person so SIMPLE as not to be able to read concise instructions (featuring a short example of exactly what you DID...) is not fit to obviously work on complex equipment for people.  I'm going up to prospect and won't be back for a few days. If I launch this... it'll wind up costing you over the years thousands of dollars minimally.   1 hour to upload

Ok hopefully you've been contacted by ****, the ******... NEXT stop will cost you money. If I go to the time to put a video up SHOWING my log in to gmail and every post you and I made to each other so people get a COMPLETE CONTEXT.... that's going to be a couple hours work...and you will PAY my work before I pull it down Jack. Otherwise... you can completely kiss your reputation goodbye from here to eternity.  Your call.
