The Laundry Alternative, Inc Unbelievably unprofessional customer service from the Laundry Alternative. Middletown Springs Vermont

PLEASE DO SOME REASEARCH BEFORE DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They have had many complaints with the Better Business Bureau that they have not responded to. Also check the out other reviews online for some customer service horror stories, treehugger.com for example

I placed an order with The Laundry Alternative, and received an email a few days later telling me that the item has been out-of-stock (for months). I was told that it would be sent out in a week or so, when available, but no exact timeframe was given. I then responded politely to this email, requesting that my order be cancelled since I had no way of knowing that the product was unavailable. The response I received seemed like an attempt to convince me not to cancel my order. I then sent another email requesting a confirmation of whether or not my order has been cancelled. The response I got after that was extremely uncalled for'

'We will be more than happy to cancel it, you are way too unfriendly and difficult to deal with. You think you are so smart and know it all, but you don't. The shipment is in US Customs right now, being inspected. Don't tell us we don't know what's going on. God you are rude!'

By the way, none of the emails from the company had a name signed to them.

After a little confusion, and more emails, I was being called 'a loser' and told that I 'suck'.

Also, there is more'

'We are intentionally rude to make sure you never buy from us again.'

We do fine, by weeding out customers like you.

You are the only customer who acted this way upon hearing they were out of stock for a short time.

The last comment is a blatant LIE by far. I am not quite sure what they meant by acted this way. I simply asked for my order to be cancelled. I even said please and thank you.

After doing some research of my own, I have found that there are many, many other customers who have been treated this way by the Laundry Alternative. Under no circumstances should a customer be treated with such harshness. Even the most difficult customer should not be called names or insulted as such. I have also read many customer reviews from customers who have had trouble receiving their orders at all and have not been able to get any help.

The products from the Laundry Alternatives website are not exclusive to this company. Please shop around for them elsewhere. This company will not even tell you if an item is in stock or not, until you have already placed your order (a common complaint).

If anyone is interested in a class-action, I would gladly participate.
