The Law Offices of Lady Justice -Mona Patel Took the money and did nothing Victorville California

My wife and I inquired at this firm about filing bankruptcy. We spoke with a paralegal or receptionist ( I don't really know which. )  We were told yes they could help us. They told us the fee and that they accept payments. Great. So we retained them I guess is the word thinking that we were going to  have this attorney handle our BK. At this point and for about a month and a half we never saw an attorney. We had given them $600 at this time and still hadn't spoken with her. When we finally were given an appointment to speak with the attorney, she told us we shouldn't file bankruptcy as there were inheritence issues with both me and my wife. Since that was the end of it, we believed they would refund at least some of the $600 we had paid. Guess again. They told us we signed an agreement that stated there are no refunds. Here we were obviously struggling mightily, ( hence seeking to file a BK) and they rip us off when we are the most vulnerable.

This is part and parcel of the reason why we despise lawyers. Some, not all, use the law to fatten their own wallets by taking advantage of people who can least afford it.
