The Loan Doctor Gary Doc Sullivan Took our money and never responded to our frequent requests for an update Surprise, Arizona

Doc Sullivan met with our family and told us how he could help us modify our under-water mortgage. He was working with a few other families in our neighborhood and since he had been involved in the Surprise city council we figured he was a reputable part of the community. We were wrong.

Aside from the communication in the first month or two, his only communication with us was a, "I'm working on it." Occasionally when we'd check in with him, he'd ask for updated financials. However, eventually he just stopped communicating with us.

Our contract stated that if he was unsuccessful (and we knew going in there was a chance he'd be unsuccessful), that we would get a part of our payment returned to us. When we asked for our money returned he responded that he was in bankruptcy and so he didn't have to return any part of our payment.

We really doubt he did any work on trying to get us a new mortgage and generally we feel pretty dumb for becoming yet another victim of loan modification fraud.
