I purchased the Mailbox post planter thru their website, My credit card was immed charged the same day, Sept 2nd , 2005. I was told verbally by Bert the owner that it ships Fed Exp & I would get it in a few business days. To which I did, considering it was Labor day weekend I did get it in a timely fashion. It was a present for my mom for her birthday. Upon opening the box, I noticed that the hardware, bolts, nuts screws were not in the box.

I immed called bert & he told me it shipped seperately & I should have it in a day or 2. It's has been 3 weeks, & endless phone calls, e mails & such & still no hardware. I have this huge mailbox planter that is completly usless to me without the hardware to install it. Bert keeps giving me the runaround. First it was, it was sent seperately 7 I should get it in a day or 2, then it was, because of Katrina its delayed. What a shame to blame a missfortune on his scaming ways. Then I was told on monday, that he shipped it thru a local Mailbox etc store & I should of had it tuesday. Still dont have it!! I have called him, & of course no return phone call.

I want everyone to know that Lawnmarks aka Mailbox post planter is a BS company. He takes your money real quick, & yea he send you the item, but what good is it if you can't put it together. It's been 3 weeks, going on 4 & I still have nothing. His website does not have one single mention of this being shipped seperatly either. I was onyl informed of that when I called him to ask for it. When you call him , his voice mail is so jammed up , you cannot leave a message, maye other customers got scammed too.

At this point if I could put it together my self I would, but I am afraid I don't have the correct hardware. And the best part is it didn't even come with the instructions as he website does state. Thank God I was able to pull it off the website, then again what difference does it make, no hardware. Maybe that's why there was no instructions.

I am warning everyone, do not use this company, he is full of s***t, ignores you once you pay & is a liar, bert sandlin is his name & his company is LawnMarks & Mailbos post planter.

I have just received notice of a report filed in September of 2005 regarding the sale and delivery of our Post Planter product. The report is correct in that the product was shipped promptly but it apparently did not include the assembly hardware (about $1.50) and instruction.(the screws and bolts are readily available at any hardware store) These are packaged togeather in an envelope. I did recieve several angry calls from the buyer regarding the missing bolts and screws.

I did notify our manufacturer/shipper (located in Iowa) to ship the missing parts. At that time, several of their employees were involved with Katrina issues. The order to ship the missing parts was unfortunatly delayed repeatedly. The buyer at any time had the option of returning the product for a refund. The shipping delay is certainly unfortunate but is not deserving the comments like liar, scam, full if s***,. I am not aware of any other negative report regarding our product or service. The hardware was received by the buyer and apparently they have decided to keep and enjoy the product. Bert Sandlin
