 Please ask questions BEFORE signing a lease with The Mansards.  They will not tell you everything up front.

These people make sure it's very hard for you to stay on top.  It's like they come up with ways to make you fall behind and possibly face eviction.

They won't tell you but your electricity and gas are not based on your actual usage.  If you have 4 people living with you and all 4 are gone during the day (let's say 2 are in school and 2 work - or whatever scenario you want to use), it doesn't matter.  A family of 2 or 3 who is home all day and using more electricity/gas than you will pay less than you; you will be charged based on the number of people that you have on your lease, not your actual usage. 

They don't tell you there is a renewal fee to renew your lease every year.

They don't tell you upfront there is one single bill for rent and utilities.  You will get a statement with both charged together as one bill.  If your rent is $950 and your utilities with gas and electrictiy are $150 your total amount due will be $1,100 or you will incur a $100 late fee.  There is no paying for utilities separtely, no paying gas separate from electricity...and no ifs, ands or buts about it!

When you ask about any of the above you will be told:  I'm sure I told you about that.

Of course they didn't tell you.  I'm sure they wouldn't have as many tenants as they do if they told you upfront.  Who would willingly pay someone else's bills?!?
