The Manus Group RJ Williams and Associates Auto Sales Training Promised Employment and Took My Money and that of several other People looking for Honest Work , Internet

I was one and have known several persons like myself that were desperate for work. When I got notification from the Manus Group for an interview at a local car dealership as an auto salesperson, I was glad to see I was making progress. After going to the interview, I was asked to come in for three days of training.

We had 15 to 17 individuals of all backgrounds in a cramped training room.I drove an hour each way to get to this training for a supposed job that paid minimum wage plus commission in the hardscrabble profession of car sales. I was glad to get the opportunity.

Near the end of the first day, we were told that there would be a $698 fee that would be refunded to us 90 days after employment (if we stayed with the auto dealership). We, as a group, we told that some of the current salespeople were being laid off and we were to replace them so we were to stay away from the showroom (turned out to be an untruth).

After the first day, I was told that if I took the class and would be good in auto sales. Like a fool I plunked down $698 dollars thinking this was a short term expense for a long term opportunity. At this point the class had dropped to 8 or 10 from the initial 15-17 trainees.

One person who was not called about a time change for the class start time was fired by the dealership on the first day of training and threatened by the manus group if she did not pay the training fee. Those that attended the class had foolishly signed a docuemtn that in the fine print said, whether we got jobs or not, we owed the manus group $698.00.

In a nutsehll. Avoid these schemes. Go to a dealership and any experienced salesperson will tell you that if they think you have the talent, you will be trained by the dealership (directly or indirectly) and at their expense. Don't fall for this manus group scam.

Think about this. With 9% unemployment, why is it so hard for car dealerships to find an already experienced salesperson(s) to begin with rather than trying to recruit 10, 20, 30 people that know nothing about car sales and hoping they may stick around. It's all a money making scam for the manus group and a way for the dealerships to cut costs on training should they find one or two persons they may wish to hire in the group.
